Description: In May 2023 consumer purchased a used vehicle from Jone's Topsoil. In December, the vehicle had engine problems. Consumer took the vehicle for repair and they are unable to repair. He believes the supplier sold him junk that could not be repaired. He paid $80,000 for the vehicle and it should have run longer than 5 months. Dear BBB:
We received this complaint regarding the purchase of one of our used dump trucks. We sold this truck through a Used equipment broker from Cleveland, Ohio, ******** Group. We had very little communication with the claimant, **** ********. The sale was made between ******** and ********. They set the price and made the financing deal. As you can see, the truck was sold "as is" with no warranty.

We have considered this matter closed. Please refer to our previous response and documents. This 2014 used vehicle was sold "as is" with "NO WARRANTY"
I also understand that the finance company re-sold this vehicle to Vander Haag's in London, Ohio on 4/16/2024

I spent 14,000 as a down payment, and had that unit for all of six months, it should’ve ran longer than that, I just feel like I need to made hole, I’ve been put out of business, die to no future of my own, yes the finance company did resale the unit, to cover their loss, and I’m left with nothing, I don’t see how that works, what are my options cause I spent a lot of money purchasing the unit and to only drove it for five months just isn’t right,
