The "owner" who actually sublets his sober living beds, ***** ********, is a program of profit, not recovery. I moved into his house 12/2/24 and immediately gave him $250 for 2 weeks. However, he also required a $125 deposit and never ONCE stated it was non-refundable. I provided another a week later $625 (deposit plus 500 for one month).

So, 6 weeks paid up front, well the check came a week later. I left a week earlier because of many reasons.

    1. Roaches.I used the bug spray provided daily and continued to see them in the kitchen. I asked for more bug spray, with no luck.

    2. ***** forced us to pick a home group in ***, which I have nothing against any program, but I prefer ** and I don't believe forcing us to pick his homegroups is right. A home group should be a personal choice because it is a weekly commitment and for me, ** is my home.

    3. The heat pretty much went out this past Thursday, we notified him that evening. The thermostat read 59. He finally notified the owners on Monday evening and it was finally fixed Tues. Mind you, 59 degrees is much colder especially during a snowstorm and if you are one of the 5 beds he crams in the attic as a second room to this tiny one bedroom house.

    4. His "house manager" that was "taking a break" from being a house manager openly told us that her levels were going up in her drug screens at the treatment center we attended.

    5. There is black mold in the shower.

    6. He took 2 weeks to provide the new girl a key, we had to leave our door unlocked in a house that is 3 min walk from the dangerous ********* ***.

So, I did ask to be refunded the week I paid for, actually it's 5 days early, when I found a better opportunity for the same price, no bugs, and my own room. I asked for my 5 days and my deposit.

I moved out Weds. 1/7 and paid until 1/13. He didn't respond until 1/8 to my text and Zelle request for the deposit ($125) with; "Go see God." A heartless comment from someone who claims he wants to support us.
