Complaint Summary: I am filing this complaint to address my disappointment and concerns regarding a bait-and-switch experience with Manny L****** and his mentorship program. What was initially presented as a genuine mentorship opportunity quickly turned into what felt like a purely transactional sales pitch. Details of the Incident: Initial Engagement and Subscription: I initially connected with Manny L****** as a VC. He presented a membership option with the promise of mentorship and potential guidance in my entrepreneurial journey. To engage further, I subscribed to a $5/month membership, expecting valuable support and insight. Lack of Value and Subsequent Upsell: After subscribing, the support I received felt minimal, more focused on sales than providing value or guidance. Shortly thereafter, I was encouraged to upgrade to a $99/month plan without any significant increase in support or clarity on how this would benefit me. This upsell felt more like a transactional move rather than a genuine offer of mentorship. Concerns Over Business Practices: This experience was disappointing and made me question the intentions behind the mentorship offer. I felt misled, as the initial membership did not fulfill the expectations set for a valuable mentorship. I believe this approach could be misleading for other potential customers as well, particularly entrepreneurs seeking genuine guidance rather than sales-driven interactions.
