Beware of parking in these lots, I went to an event and parked in the lot. It took multiple attempts to complete the transaction for payment as the mobile system could use improvement. The person I was with paid for parking. Apparently it was not enough time. I received a notice in the mail that I must pay $95.00 or be sent to collections!!! I am being charged that amount for about an hour. This penalty is ridiculous and extreme. We were there on a Sunday night which was not a time in high demand. This company is trying to squeeze money out of people. A city parking ticket would have been about $25-$30. We were not trying to take advantage and was a paying customer. This is not good business practices. Parking on the street would have been a better choice. In the future I will try to avoid parking lots by LAZ.

I parked in the LAZ Niel Avenue Parking Garage on 1/6/24 to attend an event at the Nationwide Arena and have used this specific garage for years when attending my events there. I came out after the game and noticed an orange envelope on my windshield, after reviewing it was a LAZ parking violation stating I was parked in a Compact spot and did not have a Compact vehicle. I have a Lexus NX300 that is considered a Compact SUV, but after reviewing their sign after receiving the violation it says Compact Cars only, SUV, Trucks, Vans Prohibited. I am not sure why not ALL Compact vehicle cannot park there, I really did not notice the bottom of the sign calling out the SUV, Trucks and Vans, but I really do not believe there is any compact Vans or Trucks but lots of compact SUVs. I see other complaint's from other Compact SUV owners who have experienced this as well. I would really like this company to wave this $30.00 violation and change to a WARNING for Citation, I plan to not park in any spot that has any type of sign or will park elsewhere in the future. I see many other complaints about this company and feel this is a Scam to get money from customers parking in their garages and lots.

We parked in a parking spot got something to eat and came back an hr later and had a ticket on my car for 30 dollars saying due to none payment .so first off there where no signs for any rates and there where no gates or machine to pay . And we have been to laz parking before and u get a slip and pay when u leave . So I got a ticket for parking before I even left how would they know what to charge and how long I was there so they could charge me and mind you there are no signs for the fee anyway so normal rate is like 3 to 6 $ an hr or so .It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out . They purposely make it look like its public parking so you park there and instead of the normal rate which wasn't posted anywhere they right u a ticket and make 30 $ an hr in my case so ya thats a scam In my book i would have had no problem paying the fee if I would have known there was one . I wonder how much more money they make by doing that .I bet it would shock us how much more money a year that make by legally scam us. I appealed it and they just give me some bull crap reason why they are scaming me . Its not even a big deal about the 30 $ .I mean I have that in my couch cushions I'm just tired of places like this basically stealing this money just because they can .why not say hay u where here an hour pay for the hr but no they got to stick it to you because they can

LAZ Parking manages multiple Surface Lots and Garages in the Arena District, Columbus, Ohio. All of the LOTS are open entry and have signs posted on how to pay using the Park Mobile App. Mobile Payment using the APP is the only way to pay and hourly rates are listed in the App. These locations require prepayment based upon length of stay and operate 24/7 including Holidays and weekends. The GARAGES are gated and payment is made in the rears upon exit. Customers pull tickets at entry and are charge based upon their length of stay when they exit the garage. The exception to this is when an EVENT is happening in the Arena District. In that case, Parking is prepaid to allow for ease of exit at the end of the Event.

This company is a scam!!! I paid $2.35 to park and it said this parking lot is a 2 for 1 which meant I got 2 hours for the price of 1. When I came out less than 2 hours later, there was a $30 ticket on my car. $30 for a $2.35 parking spot!!! When I appealed the ticket, they stated I only paid for 1 hour and I should have taken a picture to confirm that it said that. Who takes a picture of their parking information? I expected this company to be standup and trustworthy. The real question is do you offer a 2 for 1 special or not? They never address it!
