I contacted the school several times seeking information about their LPN to RN program. I looked online over the information.

Once I took their entrance exam, I contacted them again to continue to move forward in the process. That was the moment I was told this school does not accept financial aid for this program and it is all paid out of pocket. I was not given any of that information in the multiple times I contacted them for information.

I also got their FAFSA code from their website. I did include the school on my FAFSA application, which I know the school gets a notification when that happens. At that point nobody contacted me to say that it is not accepted.

In the school refuses to refund me because their entrance exam is only good for their school.

I was not given the correct information so that I could make the choice if I wanted to pay out of pocket or not.

In the documents I’m uploading, nowhere does it mention out of pocket only.

While the exam policy clearly states it is non-refundable, we accommodated the student's request and processed a refund as an exception. Documentation of the refund has been provided.

I contacted the school for clarification, so if there are no refunds that should have been disclosed as well as, the information I requested should have been given before I took the test. I was not refunded the full amount.

Per our exam policy, the entrance exam fee is non-refundable, as clearly stated prior to scheduling and before starting the exam. You also acknowledged this policy on-screen before each attempt. You attempted the exam twice, with fees of $75 each, and your exam results are attached for reference.

Additionally, our LPN to RN Bridge program does not currently offer financial aid, a fact that was communicated before you took the exam. While our Practical Nursing program does offer financial aid, the RN program is not yet eligible but will be in the future.

While we understand your frustration, the exam fees remain non-refundable as outlined in our policies. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
    Best regards,

I’ve already submitted the proof that I was not given this information until after I took the test. I asked specifically about financial aid before taking the test.

I started going to the school January 2022 and then I stopped going in May 2022 I had taken out a loan to cover the school but when I stopped going in May, I did not have to use the whole amount of the school loan that I had taken out so I had reached out to the school and they had said that they never released the full loan amount to the school and they did send me screenshots of that so I’ve been reaching out back-and-forth between the loan company and the school. The loan company is saying that every time they try to contact the school they the owner does not answer. This is been going on for almost a year and I just want whatever money is owed to me.

    **************
On February 13, 2023, I got a letter from the BBB about ****** *******. ****** signed up for our Practical Nursing Program on January 3, 2022. However, she dropped out on May 11, 2022.

During her enrollment, she asked the ******** **** ******* for a loan, but only 70% of the loan was paid out to our school, according to our records. The loan company asked us to record her enrollment status in their system so that they could send the last payment to her. After that, I spoke to the loan company several times on the phone and told them that I didn't agree with them holding back 30% of the money from the student and that they were telling the student that we had been paid the full loan, which was a complete lie.

I told them I would not continue to have any phone conversations with them and that all our future conversations should have ****** included, but they seem to have a problem with communication via email or leaving a paper trail as proof.

I asked that everything be written down as proof for the future, but they didn't do it and rather discussed the matter over the phone.

The loan company was supposed to send us a check for the whole tuition price of $10,403, but instead, it offered us a partial payment of $7,2707. (See enclosed payment disbursement from the bank.)

We did our refund calculation as required by state law, and we refunded the amount listed on the Refund Calculation Sheet. Her claim is that she is entitled to 30% of the remaining balance, which was not paid to either the school or her. Please contact the loan company, as they are trying to rip her off.

I advised ****** to file a complaint since The Loan Company is attempting to rip her off of the remaining 30% of the money they have not yet released to the school and to her.
