1 starMovers arrived 35 minutes past time window given, & gave me a blank phone screen to sign, which he said showed start time of 9:35; however, billed for start of 9:15. They also took 1/2hr lunch but had reported 15 minute lunch to employer (fine but we were charged 375hr) Company did give us 15 minute credit, but have not seen that reflected in bill. 3 pieces of furniture damaged, 2 severely, as well as wall and base board where they let loose of dolly. ****** texted numerous times that he was sending someone to do repairs, but never followed through. ****** had given a verbal quote of $1900 for move, but we were charged over 3000. Lots of hidden feels. On paper work after move I discovered my initials were forged 3x (one giving no liability to the company.) I believe it's illegal to forge someone's initials or signature, especially when it releases you from any responsibility. Just very disappointed in company, especially since I was told they had a 5 star rating. Did not read reviews prior, which I now regret.Review fromKatelynn A

Black Tie Movers completely saved our butts when All My Sons decided to cancel on us via TEXT MESSAGE on the day of our move! All My Sons treated us like complete garbage, and when they cancelled on us the day of our move we had to find new movers who could move us out literally the next day. We thought it was a long shot, but Black Tie Movers ended up booking us with less than 24 hours in advance, didn’t charge us a security deposit, they showed up the next day right at 9am and moved us out and into our new house in 5.5 hours. The gentlemen who moved us were extremely polite and efficient and did a great job. I was so grateful for the wonderful experience with Black Tie Movers and would recommend them over any other company.

1 starBased upon realtor referral and online 5-star ratings with glowing reviews, we scheduled with Black Tie Moving for a 3-day move from **********, ** to Columbus, OH in mid-March 2022. Four workers packed up on the 1st day, so we couldnt help and watch all of them. We discovered later that about 50% of our boxes were packed and labeled appropriately. The others were just dumped into and either unlabeled or mislabeled, AND they didnt finish the packing job. Five workers came to load their 2 trucks on the 2nd day and were surprised to learn there was a lot of packing remaining to be completed. They ran out of boxes, time, and truck space, and left (after we jumped their dead truck battery) for their Columbus warehouse around 6:30pm WITHOUT some of our belongings. Five workers came to unload in Columbus on the 3rd day, during which they dropped a workbench and cracked 8 kitchen floor tiles. [Black Tie finally settled our damage claim 4 months later, but only after a prolonged back and forth about responsibility for the damage and receiving a letter from our attorney threatening litigation.] ************* then drove 1 empty truck back to ********** for our remaining property, and we had to quickly find a trusted person to go let them into our house, and then stay for 2 hours to re-lock our house. They left our ********** house dirty and junky, and finished unloading that 3rd truckload back in Columbus at 9:30pm. All in all, we experienced a nightmare move and definitely do NOT recommend this company!
