  Had them out for a fall furnace tune up and they shared that I needed a new heat exchange and induction motor and quoted me for $6,000 and suggested that my 10 year furnace (installed by them) was old and we should consider a new one. Offered to have a new sales time out within the hour. We had a second company out less than 2 hours later who took Atlas notes and showed us where they lied and manipulating information just working to make a sale and that my heat exchange was under warranty and labor would be less than $1000 if we wanted to pursue replacing it and that it was in fine working order for being 10 years old and that there was no need to replace it at this time. Also showed us that the induction motor was performing flawlessly and didn't need replaced either. Provided us with also measurements and readings to back up their diagnostic. I would also share that they did not clean the unit, did not change the furnace filter or humidifier filter and didn't complete the service fully let alone the lies. Save your money, call someone else! Will never call Atlas again!

  We have multiple pictures that indicate how bad the condition of the heat exchanger is. We recommended replacement of the furnace due to its condition (photos available upon request). In addition, we do not offer a membership package in which we change furnace filters or humidifier filters so this wouldn't have been done during a maintenance call. We will be happy to send our service manager out to show the client in real-time the condition of their furnace. We recommended replacement due to the cost of repairs, even with a manufacturer's warranty, the labor cost of fixing a cracked heat exchanger is very high as it is an all-day job.

  Letter that has been sent to Atlas Butler trying to resolve this issue: We had Atlas Butler come to our new condo to check for a gas leak. Your person did fix the grounding that needed to be repaired and he installed a new flap on the toilet. He told my husband that the gas problem was being caused by the furnace. We had our furnace person come to the condo to check the furnace. He did not find any problems with the furnace and so my husband called the gas company to come back and check the gas lines. The gas company person told my husband that there were still three small leaks on the manifold. Now we need to call another person to come and fix the three small leaks that your person failed to find. Your company charged us $874.71. Here is my problem, why should we pay you $428.57 for work that didn’t find the gas leaks? I would like this portion of the bill returned to us. I am forwarding this letter to the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. I look forward to hearing from you soon with the return of my $428.57. Thank you,

  My original AC quit cooling. Called Atlas Butler in the morning and tech Nate Emmert arrived at 2pm to diagnose. Installed new capacitor and determined that my compressor failed. Arranged an appointment with a Comfort Advisor at 6pm same day. Mark D******** explained all of our replacement options and helped us determine which new unit was best for us. Scheduled installation for the next day at 8am. Lead Kyle P****l and Alex Randall successfully had our new unit in place and running by the end of the day. They were extremely meticulous and met my expectations. I consider all of these Atlas Butler employees to be seasoned professionals and what I expected from Atlas Butler. I was also appreciative of the excellent communication from the AB administration that kept me aware of the arrival times and who would be here. KUDOS to Atlas Butler and MANY KUDOS to my diagnostic and installation team. Thank you!

  We needed to have our furnace replaced as it stopped the day before Thanksgiving. Atlas Butler was the only place open and we had heard of them for years so we thought we couldn't go wrong. We went as far as to purchase a maintenance agreement for our furnace, water heater (which was also installed by Atlas Butler), and air conditioner. We paid a monthly fee for this subscription. They would come out in the spring and check the air conditioner and out in the fall to check the furnace. They scheduled an inspection of the air conditioner a few days ago. The air conditioner is old but was working fine. When the technician left the air conditioner fan would not stop running and the air conditioner did not work. We turned the whole system off and the fan still ran even though the air did not work. That evening we called Atlas Butler again and the same technician came out and he looked at it again. He told us that if the fan ran continuously it would eventually burn out and it was not covered under our warranty and would cost us about two thousand dollars to replace at our cost. Not true according to the manager. A couple of days later we called someone else and he came and looked at it and fixed it. It is now running fine. I have read a lot of reviews on other sites that this sort of thing has happened to others. I did call the them to lodge a complaint and cancel my maintenance agreement. The manager called me back and was very apologetic and said the technician was a seasoned employee and should have been more knowledgeable. If anyone is considering Atlas Butler, I would urge you to do some research before you use them. I wish we had done so. I am absolutely convinced the technician did something to cause our problem so we would buy a new air conditioner to the tune of between seven and eight thousand dollars. Buyer beware.
