Hired ***** to do deck repair and paint deck. I decided to not micromanage him and this proved to be a major mistake. I literally had to rip out everything he touched. cut boards short and tried to add 2" to the end of a deck floor board. It appeared as if he cut 2x6s with a reciprocating saw as the edges were all jagged and not even the correct angle to fit up against the preexisting boards. He cut a steps board too short and went ahead and installed it, used the wrong deck boards (which were a 1/4" too high and created a trip hazard) now after installing the first one and seeing it was the wrong board why would anyone go ahead and install another? tried to power wash my deck with a 1500 PSI electric power washer which is basically used for washing a car not deck painting prep, used 2x6" deck planks to install a ledge around my bench back when he should have used 2x8" leaving 2" of post (which he cut off with a reciprocating saw and left jagged and not flat at all) and then built the ledge out of deck planks which are rounded off on the edges and butted round up against flat boards. This man has no business working with wood at all. I fired him as soon as I went out to see what he had accomplished and could not believe my eyes. Just simply unbelievably aweful. Again, there wasn't a single thing he touched that I didn't have to rip out.
