    On June 28, 2022, I wrote a personal check to Arthur I***** in the amount of. $1163.89. This check, number ****, was written as a partial payment to cover $588.89 for materials and half the cost for labor at $575. According to the invoice, the cost of the steel door was $286.71 and labor cost $425 for a total of $691.71. Also, Mr. I***** was to clean out the front and back gutters and paint. That cost was $152.18 plus $250 for labor. In addition, Mr. I***** would paint the trim; two wooden poles on my front porch and power wash my entire home. That cost was $650 plus labor, $65. The total cost for these projects came to $1,743.89. According to my bank statement, the check cleared my account on June 30, 2022. I contacted Mr. I***** summer of 2023. I informed him that I was concerned that the door to my outdoor storage closet was not going to last through the upcoming winter months. Mr. I***** acknowledged that he fully understood and stated that he would be out to my home before the winter arrived. I contacted Mr. I***** the afternoon of April 27, 2024. Due to the loud background noise, Mr. I***** couldn’t hold a conversation with me. Instead, he stated that he would call me the following Monday morning, April 29 at 11a. I informed Mr. I***** that I would be available from 10a to 12p on Monday. Mr. I***** stated that he would call me back at that time. On Monday, April the 29, I placed a call to Mr. I***** at 10:30a. No answer. My call went to voicemail. I left a message for Mr. I***** that I would be available until 12p or after 2p. I called again at 11:30a. No answer. My call went to voicemail. I left a message for Mr. I***** stating again that I would be available until 12p or after 2p. I made my final call at approximately 2:30p. No answer. My call went to voicemail. I left a message for Mr. I***** informing him that I need my money ($1,163.89) returned to me by the end of the week, May 4. I have not heard from Mr. I*****, nor have I received my money back.
