    The owner performed unworkmanlike repairs that are falling apart after a few weeks. Paint work was messy as well with ceilings not cut in properly.

    I have received a complaint about repairs I did that the customer was unhappy about. Honestly, up until now, I had assumed they were happy with the work as I have text threads, as well as written estimates indicating the repairs were surface repairs only. In conversation prior to starting the work, I was up front and honest that the repairs were surface level repairs and the areas causing damage should be looked into to prevent future or repeat damage. I was initially working with Ashley and at some point, things shifted to working with ******. I was also up front with him, following up on what I had covered with ****** regarding the repairs were not a permanent fix. The same holds true for the ceiling cracks. I informed them up front I could do surface level repairs to buy them time until they were ready to have the settling issues causing the cracks to be fully repaired by construction professionals. At the time, they told me they were happy with the way the repairs turned out. The cutting-in issue after painting their ceilings was resolved by me, happily and quickly. ****** let me know of the areas that didn’t cover well and I immediately returned to rectify that issue. I am completely blindsided by these accusations against me, my work, and my name. I pride myself on prioritizing attention to detail, craftsmanship, and cleanliness. I have not ever had a complaint about my work or my workmanship in all my years of business. Their next door neighbor referred me to them, I have done multiple jobs for them over the years that they still rave about and have had no issue afterwards. I work with multiple renovations companies around town as well as high end realtors who entrust me with their business name referring me to their clients homes, I do not take that lightly.

    I am rejecting this response because: We spent hundreds of dollars on “repairs” that lasted less than a month and are a continuing eyesore. We were assured these cosmetic repairs would look great and the contractor seemed very confident when we agreed to have them done otherwise why would we have spent the money? We paid in full as we were preoccupied with other renovation projects but quickly realised the work performed was not properly done. I relayed our dissatisfaction and requested a partial refund but that request was ignored. At this point a refund of what we paid for the repair portion of the project would be fair.
