    This Soussy Market is a family owned corner store. Only three people run the cash register and all family members. I have been wrongfully charged. They are charging 11% sales tax. I had two items of ***** and 2.49 however the total was *****. I said something to the owner and nothing was done. The receipt did not have any contents of the items I bought nor the sales tax just the total. The owners have now put up a sign saying along the lines of stop complaining about our prices. I feel like I have gotten scammed from this store by charging 11 percent and they show no remorse. I highly suggest sending someone in as a secret shopper.

    Hello,

    Weve received a letter by mail stating a customer has complained about being scammed by our business! First of all, weve been in business since 1997 and under the same management. 

    The customer, ***** *****, has been coming to our business for a while and for some reason its very difficult to make him satisfied. He seemed to be annoyed of all and any prices at all time despite that he keeps coming back to shop after all of his complaints. 

    Now, ***** has stated that we charge 11% tax which is wrongfully accused! Were assuming hes either making that up or not aware that we charge .50 cents for using credit/debit cards. ***** has stated he bought 2 items at $11.99 and $2.49. Even though, he didnt mention in his complaint that both items were taxable items. We run a professional business and charge legal tax amount of 7.5% and our cash registers are labelled, stamped and always updated by a certified company. At $11.99 +tax  + $2.49 +tax + .50 cents card charge = $16.07

    Ive included that we have signs all over the entrance and counter that mention that we legally charge for using credit/debit cards. All of these sign have been up since at least 5 months ago. 

    Yes, were a small family businesses that cannot afford paying $3,000/month on credit card fees, as well as rent, payroll, maintenance, income tax, sales tax etc. Weve been serving ************** community since 1997 and we serve around ******* people yearly which makes since to have an upset customer. 

    I wish that ***** has came in to ask what the issue was or why the amount was high as what hes stating. ***** has never came in to talk to anyone at our business about this even though he mentioned that he did stop by and we havent explained/responded to him. 

    Lastly, secret shoppers are always welcome at anytime.
