My wife and I utilize our Refrigerator to store our insulin for diabetes. This appliance stop working on 8/2/2023 and I called my home appliance repair company *** subcontracts to ***** who then sent out this person who despite having a front as a licensed home appliance repair company when actually he is working out of his garage at his home address. This person came to my home on 8/7/23 and told me that my appliance was less than 5 years old and REQUIRED that I run this repair through the maker LG. This of course proved to be false as to me the home owner It did not matter WHO paid for the repair as this was a time sensitive issue due to the insulin needed. This person INSISTED that I use LG, now I suspect that this was because he receives HIGHER reimbursement from LG than *****. So in essence in the pursuit of a higher reimbursement he was more than happy to delay the repair. Now that it has been verified that this person has received the LG part and repair authorization to finish this repair, he cannot be contacted and does not respond to voicemails. On 8/18/23 he canceled the repair visit scheduled to finish the repair with NO explanation nor offer to reschedule the repair visit. Other homeowners in our community need to be aware of this person and how he conducts business even knowing that the customer who is a disabled veteran with a medical issues does not warrant his best efforts. There also needs to be a discussion around reimbursement for food and medicine spoilage.
