I wouldnt send my worst enemy to rent here. The apartments themselves were alright. Mine personally needed some updating, especially in the appliances, but they were average overall. The problems came with the management of the property. They resold this property to *********************** and it made no difference in how things were managed. I had a huge cockroach problem in my apartment and there was little to no communication when it came to treatment. At first they said theyd have the pest control company come for two weeks, which then evolved into every 2 weeks without telling me. Keep in mind, they wanted me to empty out my entire kitchen and bathroom. So for the last 4 months of my lease, I could barely use the kitchen because it was torn apart. Towards the end of my lease, I stopped getting a 24 hr notification that the pest control company was coming. I assumed they were done treating; I was wrong when I came home from a 12 work day to find a notice on my door from the pest control company saying they came and treated the place. This happened 3 times in a row. The third time it happened, I was home packing and I sent them away because I was not given a 24 hr notice and didnt have time to leave my apartment for 4 hours so they could treat. I also had a cat at home that should have been removed during treatment and I couldnt do that because I wasnt given notice. When I moved out, I got an itemized statement from *********************** with costs for replacements and cleanings that I should have not had to pay for. When I disputed the claims, they came back and told me it all stemmed from the infestation that was apparently my fault, so I had to pay for them to replace the carpets, fridge, and clean the downstairs. This cost was more than a months rent for the unit I was in, even after taking my security deposit. If I could give them a 0 star, I would. Save your business for a place that wont s**** you out of your money.

Used to rent from Casto lived at one of their apartment, communities for 11+ years with no problems at all until last year I had one problem with one neighbor above me she smoked pot, played music all night, long banging on the floor they moved her to another apartment. Then they sold my current apartment complex. I tried to move to another apartment complex, owned by Casto. They will not rent to me because of the situation. When I was the complaining party, I would stay away from all Casto communities. They do not care about their residence. Terrible corporate and regional management.

We like the community and the apartments but the office during the last years has attacked us a couple times. And now we are moving out after notifying the office about us house searching. I had asked about paying month to month basis several months ahead because we were house searching. What we got in return is that we have to sign a 9 month lease from ****** ******, nothing about there being month to month basis. We talked to them and told them we didn't want a 9 month lease we wanted to pay month to month basis. I am aware that they have it with the community because my brother lived in the Casto communities too. They still kept trying to force us to sign a lease instead of sending us the paperwork. I stopped contacting because we weren't going to do that. I messaged a week and a half in advance saying we are leaving to move in a house because we weren't sure when we were going to close on a house. ****** sends back we have to pay for July in the month to month basis. She never notified us and they are trying to force us to pay when she lied and basically said it didn't exist that the 9 month lease is the shortest we can do. They just now sent paperwork to fill out to pay for July saying insufficient notice. NO you did notify us! You told us it did exist! We are not paying after trying to get forced into a lease. Seems very sketchy to me.
