5 starsRyan was great to work with. Excellent throughout the process. The work did take longer than we anticipated, but wasn't his fault. Did not know the extent of work that needed to be done until we started demo. Did communicate well throughout and fair pricing. Always able to answer any questions and always made sure the work was done right. Fixed any damage done without issue. Tile work looks beautiful and very happy with the bathroom renovation.Review fromLauren M

Ryan did amazing work with the tile in our bathroom, all for a great price! He was able to fit us on his schedule the week after the quote, as we were on a time crunch due to moving/renting out our house. Ryan was consistently a good communicator and was pleasant to be around. We could't be happier!Shield Tile and Design, LLC

Ryan has worked on two jobs in our home and we have been very pleased with the results on both. The first was removing a shower bench and replacing the bench tile with quartz. It involved some delicate demo and exact measurements which he completed perfectly, allowing us to re-install the glass door rather than having to replace it.The second job was finishing out closet space - some framing, drywall, and finishing trim. I thought the drywall work would make a mess of dust (to be expected) but the way he worked, he kept the dust to a minimum, which is much appreciated. The finished product in both jobs looks great.Shield Tile and Design, LLC

Wonderful clients. I do my best to always treat every job the same. I understand having work done in the home can be a bit much. It can cause stress and anxiety. I do my best to eliminate as much of that as possible. Thank you so much for choosing Shield Tile and Design.Review fromKelsey W

Highly recommend NOT using Ryan or his team for any sort of work in your home. Ryan was supposed to lay down LVP in our kitchen and bathroom and never finished the job. Additionally, he rolled our refrigerator across our hard wood floors leaving a deep and non removable scratch across a high traffic area. Ryan gave both my husband and I tons of excuses as to why he was unable to finish the job for weeks after telling us he would be there. He then proceeded to ghost us and we never heard back from him. Save your money, time, and home improvements for someone who is responsible and professional. We gave Ryan ample opportunities to make things right prior to leaving negative reviews and want to protect anyone else from getting into this mess.Shield Tile and Design, LLC

Honestly, I did finish the work. I specifically recommend a transition profile for your thresholds. You refused my professional opinion and did not want what I recommended. I was adamant that they would not hold properly and they didn't. Someone had an accident and broke one within a week. I was expected to drop everything and get down there to fix it... never once letting me know it was not my fault and that I would be paid for the materials and time. Also...I didn't exactly scratch your floor... but I did dent it. I did. You have soft yellow pine floors and dents all over throughout the living and dining room. I took precautions of for paper as well as moving carts and still happened to leave an indentation in your floor. I offered to come in and do my very best to bring it back but I felt at is you guys were putting me on the hook for the whole floor. Let's also not forget that I had given you a very cheap estimate to do your backsplash ad a favor to having dented your floor. It was accepted... not contracted and was told you found a friend to do it cheaper so it was canceled. I had it on the schedule to come down and do that and fix the area i dented. Once you were off the schedule it was now within my time as to when I got back down there to fix the work you broke... as I told you I would not warranty this style transitions. Between my busy schedule and getting sick back to back... there were some issues getting right back down there. We played phone tag for a free days. I called as well. I feel I did everything I was supposed to in trying to remedy it. I'm still willing... but I'm not willing to fix the floor for free... as i had finished it and had refused to warranty such items. I apologize for any inconvenience and my tardiness in responding. I did not happen to get the notification that a review was left. If I can still fix the issue... im more than happy to do so. Please feel free to call or text if I don't answer. Again. I apologize for the misunderstanding or whatever the case may be.Review fromSas S

Not a good experience. Disrespected me and my home. My carpet is beyond cleaning.Shield Tile and Design, LLC

I did not damage any carpet. It was covered by your prior to starting. I even put drop cloths down on top of the 20 area rug pathway you made that was also covered in plywood by you. The work was phenomenal and as always, coverd by warranty. You then withheld the final payment because you were trying to force me to do even more extra stuff that was not in the contract. I did s few extra things just to go above and beyond. Like replacing your kitchen faucet free of charge before I started any type of contracted work. You consistently bad mouthed every other contractor that was prior to me. Even though I found most of their work to be great. Your family even warned me about this, but I took the job as a favor to them as they are reoccurring customers and I have a great professional relationship with them. I refuse to argue with you and bright my lawyer into it... so you paid me the final. Knowing I did all contracted work in a reasonable amount of time. I was clean and showed up everyday. I did my very best to please you. I'm sorry you were so unhappy with my person that you had to leave this untrue review. I wish you the very best ******************Review fromRebecca M

5 starsJust completed a full bathroom demo/remodel - exceeded my expectations ten fold! Received so many compliments on the finished product and honestly is worthy of a magazine cover. During the project, we encountered many unexpected electrical/plumbing issues (as can be expected with a home over 100 years old) during the process and every single issue was shown/explained, fixed, and at the fairest price out there. Ryan was completely respectful of our space during the few weeks he was here, answered every call/text no matter what time of day, and is truly one of the most talented contractors I've worked with. If you are on the search for any kind of home remodel/tiling/drywall - this is your guy! His tile work is expert level - truly a perfectionist. I will be using for every home project for this property and future ones!Review fromElizabeth K

5 starsI enthusiastically recommend Shield Tile and Design for anyone who wants excellent tile work, constant communication, and a business owner who truly wants his customers to be not just okay but happy with his work. Ryan had great attention to detail, from the day he spent in my house before he even started work prepping and making sure the rest of the house was protected and mess was minimized. He communicated with me daily, without me having to ask on status or updates. He did a fantastic job with the work that he was hired to do, but he checked in a bunch to make sure I was actually very happy with his work. He showed up on time, he kept the area as clean as it could be and even cleaned up after the job was over. I hire a fair amount of service providers and I have never seen someone so committed to and intent on his client's satisfaction - and a high level of satisfaction at that. I would hire Shield Tile and Design again for any project I have.Review fromAngela U.
