My family was given a nebulizer at our pediatrician. My insurance fully covers durable medical products so I didn't expect any issues. However, after my insurance paid Pediatric Products and I also paid my portion owed to them, they continue to balance bill me for an additional amount based on what the insurance said was not allowed. My insurance states that balance billing is not allowed, but Pediatric Products claims the "contract" that I was forced to hurriedly sign in the checkout line of my doctors office entitles them to balance bill me. I have been trying to resolve this with them and my insurance for almost 2 years and they are threatening to send me to collections. I would like for them to accept my insurance's determination of my costs as final and adjust my bill so they are not billing me beyond what my insurance allows and what I have already paid.

The Patient's father freely and knowingly signed an agreement that clearly states that if the insurance does not pay for any reason, they are responsible for the bill.  That said, the root cause of the problem stems from their insurance (CIGNA) who admittedly made a mistake, but even after 1 year, the have yet to correct the issue.   Their inaction forces us to bill the patient.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

Please place my account on hold and stop the phone calls threatening to send me to collections while we wait for CIGNA to respond to my request.

Received a nebulizer through Xpress Nebs. It stopped working within 4 months of use and we are still being billed monthly for a product that does not work.
