  Quality of this ice continues to deteriorate. It’s now just crushed ice. Price goes up and up. ****** has the most expensive. I guess this is what you get when there is no competition. Poor quality and higher cost. I’ve stoped buying.

  Home city ice purchased Waterville ice and within months prices more than doubled. Last ice I ordered cost me $11.75 per 20# bag because I didn’t order a minimum. A minimum that I didn’t know that was required. Supposedly sent a letter out the end of 2023 that I never received. Called to complain and found out they had the wrong address for the increase letter, but the correct address for our invoices. Not an easy company to work with and unfortunately no other ice company delivers to our town.

  Every time that I attempt to place an order from them to be delivered for my building manager on a certain date, they DON'T deliver. Once was a large event being held and the building manager ended up having to go buy from grocery stores and convenience stores. Just put in an order on 11/30/23 to receive ice prior to 12/7/23, it is currently 12/5/23 and I had another manager reach out... they said they did not have an order for us. This is the worst ice company we have worked with... and apparently they bought out all of the ice companies in our area. Just like they did in Michigan in 2001 through 2007, thus eliminating any competition. Hopefully it will soon be in our budget to purchase our own ice machine and not rely on such an unreliable company.

  Just went to grocery store to get home city ice....a 28% price increase was waiting for me. Gonna get my old ice trays out and get em in the freezer. Incredible!

  we have had them for about 4 years but in aug. we were charged for a delivery that never happened. I have been trying to get this straightened out for over 4 months now, I talked to 3 people all with different stories and amounts. Last bill had nothing on it other then a cost, I want to know what they are charging and so forth, I am done with them. They charge 3 for one on a 20 lb. bag of ice that one lady told me they aren't even suppose to give us. What is going on with this place. I need to talk to someone who knows what is happening and their cost etc.

  I placed an order on March 24th for my June event in Ann Arbor with **** ******. Scheduled delivery and pick up and have my credit card. Confirmed two days prior. Delivery did not happen on the schedule day. When I called I couldn’t get Sara on the phone and finally got the customer service. They did not have my order in the system but after a lot of begging they bent their own rule and delivered on a Friday. Sara got back in touch Friday and said that customer service was wrong and my order had been in there the whole time, and yet it still wasn’t delivered on the correct day. I also discussed if my card in file would be charged or if they invoiced, I was told she will charge the card on file. My pick up day came and went, couldn’t get Sara on the phone. Called customer service again and they said they will try and get it picked up on the next day. I asked to be called when they were picking it up, never received a call. Sara got back to me the following day via email and said that I had not paid my bill in her response that did not include any sort of apology. She has had my payment since March. Now someone else just called to discuss my issues and I was basically told that customer service didn’t know how to look up my order and that their system still reflects unpaid even though I received a receipt of payment the prior day. Then he backed up and said oh yes it was paid. There was no apology, no this is not how we operate, no thank you for your business or understanding. Literally one of the worse customer service from the sales and management team. Actual customer service was nice and helped me as much as they could.

  I've bought multiple bags and have gotten dirty ice in almost every single one that I can recall there's always specs of dirt and at first I thought it was sitting in my freezer too long but then I started looking at the bags in store and could see dirty cubes through the bag. I buy from a different company now.

  Home city ice is not reliable. I have had them for the past 15 years and their service is not really reliable. They say they will be here at a certain time and day and never show up. They transfer your calls and say they are going to return call and they never do. I wish there was another company to use but unfortunately there isn’t

  Small bag of ice purchased at **************************** on July 9th, 2022. Had many small pieces of plastic embedded in the ice.
