In October 2024, I trusted Cincy Gutter Boys to install new gutters on my home for $1,900. I paid a $500 deposit and agreed to make monthly payments. I genuinely believed I was hiring a reputable company — but I could not have been more wrong. Within just a few months, water started leaking into my first-floor bedroom during every rainfall. The water damage is right behind the gutter line where their work was done. Now my ceiling and wall are ruined — and getting worse every time it rains. When I called to ask for help, I was told they wouldn’t even come look at the problem until I paid off the entire balance. On top of that, they claimed I had to pay for a separate gutter cleaning plan or the warranty wouldn’t be honored — something that was never explained before or during installation. In fact, the crew told me I’d receive two free cleanings a year. That never happened either. I felt backed into a corner, so I hired another gutter company to come inspect everything on April 8, 2025. I didn’t tell them the gutters were new, and they immediately spotted serious issues with the installation. They provided a detailed plan to fix the problem the right way. I no longer feel safe allowing Cincy Gutter Boys to do any more work on my home. Their lack of accountability, failure to honor their own warranty, and refusal to even inspect their own work is beyond disappointing — it’s negligent. I have stopped payments and filed a dispute with my bank. I am not asking for more repairs from them — I just want them to pay for the damage their poor workmanship caused to my bedroom and release me from the rest of the payment plan. I have all supporting documents, photos, and the inspection report. This entire experience has been stressful, expensive, and completely avoidable if they had simply stood behind their work.Cincy Gutter Boys

We’re very sorry to hear that you’ve experienced issues with your recent gutter installation. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience and for the incorrect information you were given regarding payment prior to an inspection. To clarify, our company provides a 1-year workmanship guarantee on all gutter installations. We stand behind the quality of our work and are committed to making things right. We would like to offer for our Quality Assurance Manager to visit your property and thoroughly assess the installation. This visit will help us better understand the issue and determine the next steps to ensure your satisfaction.Review fromCharlene E

5 starsCincy Gutter Boys literally made it possible for us to buy our home. We were looking at a 120+ year old house that needed to have box gutters replaced. Cincy Gutter Boys are the only ones who worked with us to come look at the gutters while we were seeing the home, before we closed on it. Other companies gave ballpark estimates without getting on the roof. They didn't seem knowledgeable about box gutters or eager to work on them. Cincy Gutter Boys was thousands of dollars less expensive than anyone else. We couldn't have bought the house if we also had to spend $35k on gutters. They were also way more pleasant to work with. They always showed up when they said they were going to; their employees were so nice. They completely rebuilt our box gutters and they look amazing!Review fromAllison M

We had Cincy Gutter Boys out to assess out box gutters, and they did some patching and sealed them in March 2022. In July they came to do a regular gutter cleaning, and told us the box gutters were pulling away from our roofline. Another technician came out and said they now needed to be completely replaced, to an estimate of $56,000. We asked for less expensive alternatives, and why this wasnt caught when the gutters were patched and sealed, as they are the only people who have been on our roof and working on the gutters. He said he didnt know why it wasnt caught, but they would credit the amount wed already paid to the full replacement. Also said there were no cheaper options, conveniently. That brings the replacement to about $51,000.3 other companies have since been out to assess our box gutters. As it turns out, they should have either been replaced to begin with, or additional downspouts could have been installed to solve the issues in addition to patching and sealing them. But, because they were only sealed, and that sealant is virtually indestructible, we have to replace them and cannot do additional downspouts. Weve also been told by multiple companies that it is impossible for box gutters to pull away from the roofline.Luckily, the 3 estimates we received for a full box gutter replacement are around HALF of what Cincy Gutter Boys quoted. Not only did they do an incomplete assessment/fix before, but now theyre quoting about double the amount of their competitors.Weve lost about $5,000 as a result of their incompetence and shady practices and we will never work with them again.Cincy Gutter Boys

This is mostly a case of the business trying to perform work they admitted they would not be able to perform. I requested a quote to remove clogs from my gutters which have helmet guards. I made sure to ask if they could do this and they quoted me. I believe this is when the company should have backed off and said they were not qualified. Instead they accepted the job and sent out their tech, while I was away from home. The work was attempted and when I inspected after coming home I saw that the clogs remained, I knew where they were so had I been home I couldve pointed them out. I complained to the company and they said they could schedule a revisit. This is another time they couldve offered a refund as they were not qualified. However, only a revisit was offered. I agreed. The next techs showed up and I was home. He stated they cant fully remove clogs from gutters with helmet guards as they are not allowed to use tools. Okay, then why are you still attempting to do this work? The revisit was also unsuccessful in remove the clog, however the tech reported that it was removed in his documents. It appears to me that their gutter cleaning service is largely based off of performing work that homeowners are unlikely to inspect or notice if it was or wasnt done. Perhaps they do fine on standard gutter work but I would not recommend the cleaning services. Or at the very least make sure to inspect! They also ***************** behind their 30 day revisit policy. In my case, endless numbers of revisits would not have worked, yet that was the only solution the offered. I am attempting to negotiate a reduced fee as the service I was quoted was unsuccessful, however they are trying to wait me out for the full payment. I might just go ahead and pay it to be done with the company. This is a company that appears to be more about collecting payments than satisfying customers. So just be careful.Cincy Gutter Boys

Hello ***** Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your concerns and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. When pricing a gutter cleaning over the phone, our customer service agents do ask homeowners if they have gutter guards on their gutters so that we can price the job appropriately and set realistic expectations for what our crews can do. It looks like it was notated on your account that you had basic screw in gutter guards which is something our technicians are able to remove during the cleaning in order to clean under the guards and remove all debris from the gutters and the downspouts. Upon the original technician arriving to your home, he did discover that you actually had helmet guards on your gutters. Due to the way that helmet guards are installed, our technicians are not authorized to attempt to remove helmet guards as they are often a part of the gutter system and doing so would void any warranty you have. At this point our technician should have reached out to you to let you know that because we are unable to remove the guards, you would have two options. One would be for us to charge you our basic cleaning charge and remove as much debris from the system as possible without taking the guards off by picking out what is accessible and attempting to flush the system. Had you not wanted to move forward with that option, the second option would have been for the crew to cancel the job at no charge to you since we were not able to complete the original agreed upon work. We apologize that the original technician did not convey this to you. Once you reached out to our office to complain about the initial cleaning, we did try and make it right by having our division lead out to insect the job to see what was going on. After he also realized you had helmets guards, he did explain to you what we would be able to do. Once our customer service representatives were aware that the original technician did not explain our protocol with helmet guards before continuing with the cleaning, we did take care of the invoice since you should have been given that choice before the cleaning took place. We apologize for the confusion and have worked with our field manager to make sure that the technicians are reminded of the protocol so this does not happen moving forward. If you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out to our office.E. R.

The business did eventually resolve my complaint, but it did take a lot of effort on my part. I just appreciate when companies take the initiative to make things right. Thank you for resolving this.
