A vehicle I had at my apartment complex was towed under contract due to having a flat tire on Wednesday August 30th. I was advised that there was a tow fee of 175 and two days of storage at 40 a piece. These fees are higher than Ohio allows. After calling, I showed up on Thursday to retrieve my personal property from the vehicle they told. I was told I could not get it without at least a deposit towards the car. I still have a right to my personal belongings irregardless of the car (a view backed up by Ohio codes).

Conley's Service & Towing was contracted to remove vehicles from **** ******* *** ***. on 8/30/23.  We removed a ***** * that had a flat tire, sitting on a jack. This vehicle was tagged numerous times for parking violations.  The owner came to our establishment 2 days later to remove his personal belongings. He was told that he had to pay a deposit to remove any personal effects. This is a policy that the ****** ****** Dept enforces  at their Imp.lot as well. We charge a $25.00 gate fee to escort an individual to their vehicle to remove any type of belongings or documents. At this time would accept the title of the vehicle for the charges that have incurred.  The owner at that time can clean out the vehicle.
This is the sign that we have hanging by our window. see attached.

    Kindest Regards,
