We rented from them in 2021 with a year lease, and when it was shown to us by a well dressed man he said it was the best in the city, claimed it was safe and clean. Upon further inspection if the apartment there were roaches that came out of the wall and door borders exposed showing bed bugs were previously there. The ceiling had leaked and when asked they took two weeks to come and only said call them when it was serious. The other tenants in the building broke in on nightly basis and they chose to ignore it and the front door was broken so anyone could enter. Rats and mice destroyed every single thing we owned and had to throw it all out. Sinks and shower were shown to be damaged and not repaired by them either. Then safety concerns rose up and as it was threatened, left a month early and even informed them. They placed an eviction on us and never spoke a word of it until a collection agency called demanding 1400 dollars from us as a debt HPM had for us. Do not rent from them period, they will screw you over and will be unable to fix it

A lady name Melody was very rude and unprofessional I called her to inquire about my deposit because it been over 3 weeks since I moved out I left several voicemails and she never retired my calls so I decided to reach out to her again she told me I will receive my deposit whenever they decide to give it to me and stop calling them and hung up and stop answering the phone . It's my right as a tenant to know when I will be receiving my deposit

The tenant called and left voice-mails when Melody was out of the office. When Melody returned the following Monday, the tenant phone and was very aggressive yelling that Melody did not return her calls. Melody explained that she was out of the office and this was her first day back. The tenant remained very aggressive stating she had moved out and was told she would receive her deposit back in 3-5 days. Melody tried to explain that the tenant was mistaken, that she would receive her deposit (if any was due to the tenant) in her account in 3-5 days, after the deposit was processed. The tenant then began to yell that her lease said she would get her deposit back in 3-5 days. Melody explained that per Ohio state law, HPM has up to 30-days to return a security deposit. The tenant remained aggressive, at which time Melody explained HPM would process her deposit within the 30 day time frame and told the tenant to have a good day. Melody then hung up the phone. The tenant kept calling, Melody not wanting to continue being berated and yelled at, chose to not answer the phone. The tenant left several disrespectful and rude voice mails on Melody's phone. When the tenant would not stop calling Melody asked another staff member to deal with the belligerent former tenant. The other staff member told the former tenant the same exact thing Melody had told her, The security deposit was returned to the former tenant in the 30 days.

My issue is i feel that they take advantage of the rental community renting houses that wouldn't pass code from holes in walls pest infestation water damage no one comes to fix anything different people picking rent up it's a lot to even go on at this point the health inspector building code specialist should be checking their properties before allowing them to rent to anyone. Me and my son and niece during their visit have all be hospitalized due to the mold in the basement I've been waiting since June 2022 for my water pipes to be fixed and still nothing. They came to fix the kitchen ceiling in may or June and never came back it's causing gnats the hole is still open and smells. The electrical sockets are iffy and you have to pray you don't get shocked we've had to tape off which ones are the most dangerous in the house. There's a whole in the basement that leads to the garage so we area always worked about possum squirrel or raccoon getting in. This is suppose to be our home it's a very stressful situation on a daily it's always something new and when you try to get help there is none .

My wife, three year old son, and I are currently renting a three bedroom one bath house in Canton, Ohio off of HPM and have been for three months now. It has, by far, been the worst experience I've ever had renting. Starting out, we were able to move into a house that didn't have working outlets or plumbing in the kitchen, or even properly hung doors. Broken windows on the patio, which is where the fridge is located. It was early spring so didn't check, but we asked if the AC worked, was told it did. Only to have it replaced because it never actually worked. We've had multiple inspectors and plumbers come out to "fix" the plumbing, but to no avail. Then HPM just gave up, but still kept demanding rent. They can make sure you pay on time but won't fix problems that can and will lead to serious health issues. The house needs torn down or updated from the bottom up. Now they're threatening eviction if we don't pay, but we still don't have working plumbing and the basement has more leaks than I can count. They keep having the sane people come out to look at it, almost as if they never noted our concerns in the first place. They won't return phone calls, just escalate it to the plumber. Which he himself has said there's nothing to do besides tear out the entire basement and redo all the plumbing.

Absolutely awful place to rent from. Do not rent from them. I lived in one of their apartment complex’s for a year and a half and they threatened to evict us for not paying the neighbors electric bill or the water bill (which the lease stated HPM would pay the water). They didn’t keep up their end of the lease. We didn’t get a car port as promised and they didn’t shovel or salt anything in the winter. I slipped and fell and busted open my knee. I called **** to end my internet there before I left and I guess they never did because an extremely rude lady called me at work to tell me I needed to get it turned off by the end of the day. They made me take down one of my other negative reviews I made when I still lived there. Super shady. Be careful with them.
