I was approved for credit yesterday. Today I started an application with ****. Upon reading the paperwork I saw I would be charged a $199 few once an invoice was approved by the finance company, **********. I immediately texted Lexi and told her this cant happen until Monday when I get paid, I had an outstanding withdrawal coming up soon and didnt want to overdraft. She told me to fill out the application and assured me she would not send the invoice over to **********. I get an email at 6pm tonight Clicklease got the invoice and is going to withdraw $199. Im beyond frustrated now. I take my credit seriously.

The sales lady had me fill out paperwork Thursday morning, upon filling it out I noticed a $199 application fee once invoice is sent in and approved.  I stopped told the sales lady I could not proceed until Monday because of the fee.  She told me to proceed.  I did, told her I was done and to make sure we hold the invoice until Monday.  She replied, oh for sure I will.  That evening I got a notice the finance company had just received and approved the invoice and they are charging me $199.  This morning I woke up to a $120 overdraft and charges.  A lady at container One in accounting said she sent it after the finance company asked for it and that she was unaware of the invoice wasnt supposed to happen until Monday.  The finance company suggested I dispute the charges.  The sales lady said, oh I was unaware they would charge you, sorry.  She offered no insight as to how to correct any of this.  I have spent about 4 hours today talking to people to address this.  The only apology I got was, sorry.  No way to handle it or anything.  My pics are screenshots of the conversation with the sales lady, but they are in jpeg format and I dont know how to change that on my phone.

    ****,
You financed this through a 3rd party company not under Container One's Control. Yes once you agree and sign the agreement they immediately start processing the order you placed via their terms. If you wanted to wait you needed to delay finalizing the contract until the day you where ready. Also you have already been compensated for your over drafty fee by our sales *** out of her pocket. So we are just trying to figure out what is needed to resolve the complaint as it has already been addressed on Container Ones end?

On October the 4th 2024 I purchased 40 ft High Cube Shipping Container from ************************** for the sum of $3,457. Part of this transaction included the specialized shipping required to deliver the container to our location, this was performed on October 24th.When the driver arrived with the container before unloading I did a walk around with the driver. It was immediately apparent that the doors on the container would not open and close properly, more accurately they could not be closed at all. At this time it was my intention to refuse delivery, but first I called their corporate number to discuss the situation. I was assured that it was not a problem that they would make the necessary repairs to the doors that I should just proceed with the delivery. It is now March 20th 2025, Following dozens of phone calls and email correspondence Containerone has never made any attempt to correct the situation. They have delayed, been unresponsive, attempted to blame me, and otherwise just simply attempted to outlast me in this matter. This was an online transaction performed on their website **************************, They provide clear terms of service on this site. Under their terms of service paragraph B please find a direct copy of their text below B) CARGO WORTHY (CW) AND AND WIND AND WATER TIGHT (WWT) CONTAINERS COME WITH A 1 YEAR DOOR (PROPERLY SEAL TO PREVENT WATER INTRUSION, OPEN AND CLOSE), FLOORS (FREE OF HOLES) AND ROOF (NO LEAKS) WARRANTY.I purchased this container in good faith trusting that they would live up to their end of the bargain they have not I have repeatedly asked them to make repairs they have not, after not receiving any repairs I asked them to remove the container and refund my money they have ****** this point I have no faith in container one whatsoever and it is my desire that theyve removed the container and refund my money. To that end I would greatly appreciate any assistance that you can provide in this matter.

The doors opened and closed when we picked up from he depot when it was on hard solid ground. You also refused to send us anymore pictures or videos that we requested to properly assist you int he claim we received one video from a bad angle that didn't help the claim. We still wish to honor our warranty but we need to know the correct steps had been taken as your container seals and doors look very typical of a used CW unit.

Below is what we recommend you doing if having issues with doors,  which still has not been done to our understanding as we have not received any follow up evidence.

While experiencing difficulty closing shipping container doors can be frustrating and confusing, customers should understand that it's not uncommon. And, when it happens, it's very likely that it is NOT because the container is defective or damaged.
Shipping containers are designed to sit flat on a cargo ship, and for the doors to work properly they need to be on a flat, level and hard-packed surface. If the container sits on an uneven surface (even if it appears level), it can create some challenges when opening or closing the doors.

Here are several factors to consider if you're having issues with your shipping container doors, the trick is the get the seals and Cam locks to all line up evenly fi it si not then there is twist as it sits which need remedied by the below steps .
1.Use pressure-treated lumber, bricks or concrete slabs as shims to raise a corner or two of the shipping container until the door gasket looks to be lined up all the way across the container.
**** might take some trial-and-error to raise the correct corners up just enough to make the container even.
3.Keep in mind that it's possible you'll have to raise different corners by different amounts (left front corner up 1 inch and back right corner up one-half inch, for example) to achieve success.
Once you think you're even, try opening and closing the door.

I am filing a claim against Container One because we ordered a container and paid an extra & $350.00 to have it delivered by Friday. We found out on Friday they refused to deliver it because our driveway was not cement (even though we have a semi drive onto to property filled with equipment). We asked for a full refund. We received an email stating they would refund the money for container but keeping the $350.00. They kept the delivery fee even though they refused to deliver the container, I want my full refund. This company has been nothing but a heart ache!

    Business Response

We kept a $350 Cancelation fee not the delivery fee. See our terms and conditions you agreed to when paying for this order it is on you Invoice and our website. We couldn't make delivery on the 17th due the weather ******* was having and this is delivering onto dirt. Had several days of rain and snow prior to the Friday deliver that was wanted and more rain was happening. We could've delivered the next best day that weather allowed but you decided to cancel your order resulting in the cancelation fee. If you order with us again this fee can be credited back to you.

On 11/19/24 I paid for a container at container one. I needed a container in a weeks time and the salesman promised me that they have them available I just need to pay and Ill get mine in a week.I requested for a delivery date and pictures of the container I would be receiving but they told me still they dont have what I was to be getting and to be patient. I waited for 2 weeks still no communication or no pictures or a delivery date and that was way over the date i wanted the container for. I kept communicating with the sales person but he told me he is not in the main office i should deal with main office and that his job is only to do sales once done everything is handled by main office. After the 4th week the lady from dispatch called and told me that they dont have a container to deliver to me and I should continue waiting and the other thing she said is that after they check on ****** maps about the delivery location they cannot deliver in that location because of too tight space and overhangs then she said they will have to cancel the order. 4 weeks no communication, no pictures of what I will be receiving and no delivery date and now canceled delivery after wasting my time. They told me they will cancel and issue a refund but they will have to deduct money from the refund to cover for restocking!!! I asked them why will they charge me for restocking fee when they never attempted to deliver, they never gave a delivery date and they never sent me pictures of what I was supposed to be getting and also they didnt have a container for me so why restocking fees for what I dont even know. It was there fault that they never had a container on time as promised and they were silent for 4 weeks whenever I tried to communicate with them. The salesman I was dealing with told me there is nothing he can do as he just an employee and all decisions are made by the ***. Ive been trying to reach him but he ignores me and never responds.

    *****,
You do have Cancelation fees involved with your order. We had a container ready for this customer since 11/21 to deliver to you, However due to your delays and not knowing the delivery site wasn't suitable for a 40ft long shipping container and also you taking several weeks to get Container one the information we where needing and asking you for. Your order was placed with us on 11/19 during our welcome call where we go over delivery info and verify again you have enough space you told us to look at it on ****** maps. We then went to ****** maps and noticed that where customer is expecting driver to pull in is between a house and fence that looks to narrow and there is an over hang on the roof. We tried explaining everything to customer and he acted like he didn't understand me. He asked why we couldn't just send a driver out 211 miles away for free to look at it and I was explained to that we do not do that and that if driver got there loaded then there would be fees, at this point customer acted like he did not understand us and was transferred to his sale *** where the issue still wasn't resolved. On 11/27 We spoke with customer and asked that he send pictures in as there is to many complications with customer acting like he does not understand what I'm asking for. Customer stated that he is in ****** and unsure if he will be able to do that.  Order was also placed on hold pending verification of payee to avoid fraud until 12/2 when we finally got documentation. On 12/9 pictures of property where finally sent and was verified a driver couldn't deliver where they wanted the container due to space and to many obstacles to deliver a 40Ft long Container. on 12/11 you demanded not be refunded and to continue with order that couldn't be delivered. On 12/13 customer then asked for a refund and was told about a cancelation fee and still wanted to cancel the order. This results directly with a cancelation fee which was charged of $350 as listed in our terms and conditions you agreed to when you bought the container. You should have be reaching out to Container One directly as ****** had directed you several times to talk to the right departments.  ****** no longer works for us and is why you currently cannot reach him. Again please reach out to container directly. Also you are claiming amount 3424 as the dispute but you have that money refunded to you already.

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of my decision appear below.

[All this information theyre saying is totally wrong. If you check that text screenshot of my communication with them I kept asking them when will I receive a delivery date and also pictures of what I was to be getting.they were not sure about the area I told them am 100% sure it will fit at the location because previously there was a container there that was pulled out but for them they were relying on ****** maps and thats why I told them if theyre unsure and not trusting me they should sent a driver to check physically because the salesman I was dealing with is from that same area. After a long time of waiting they only contacted me to verify my ID and payment and they needed more photos through email which I sent them but they never responded to tell me if they received the photos or not and they kept telling me to wait and be patient and I talked to the salesman asking him what was going and he said he also had reached out to their logistics and they had failed on the promise and everything that he had promised will be done in a week. All this information was being done 3 weeks past the date the container was to be delivered and now I didnt need it. So why will they charge a restocking fee for something I have never seen or never attempted to deliver? They told me they can only sent pictures of the container and give a delivery date once they have the container I will be getting but at that time they did not have anything and I have never seen anything. They refunded the money minus the restocking fee. I needed full refund plus the interest that is accumulating. They told me to buy a container with them I have to use their financial services which is shop pay for any purchases. Am not a shop pay customer neither do I have an account with them so all the remaining refunds they should deal with their shop pay to have that settled out. And also and also they are talking about their purchase contact. I dont have any contract from container one ask them to show me a contract with my name on the receipt plus those terms theyre talking about. They only gave me a receipt with a number and purchase price and nothing on the contract. So I have never signed anything with container about their terms. The whole blame is on them for delays lack of communication fake promises and confusion because the salesman said there was a container ready but logistics said there was nothing I should wait for more weeks or months. I know the area to be delivered 100% and they were acting as if they were the ones living there instead they were just depending on ****** maps for measurements. I told them I really needed a delivery date plus pictures of my container that I paid for so that I could make a trip from where I was on the same week that the container was to be delivered but they said they dont have a specific date or pictures of that. All those communications I have attached them here on screenshorts]

We purchased a 40' HC CW storage container from ****** **** of Container One on Dec. 1, for delivery to our property in ******, **. an hour and a half away from our home in *******, Ks. When discussing with ******, what to expect in the condition of our container, I was assured that cargo worthy would have a few cosmetic dents and dings, some surface rust, and they were the nicer of the used shipping containers. We were contacted by their dispatch on Wednesday, Dec. 11th to expect deliver that next day, in the afternoon 12/12. We both took half a day off work to meet the delivery driver for what we understood would be around 4:-4:30. We arrived there about 1:30 pm and waited for over 4 hours. After several phone calls and several "delays" the driver finally showed up AFTER DARK to deliver our container. Because of this, we were unable to fully inspect the unit, but trusting in the information and assurances I was given, I was concerned, but trusted we would receive what we paid for. The driver seemed hurried to leave, and we were too. We were tired and frustrated plus, we had an hour and a half drive back home. We both became sick and were not able to get back down to Galena to inspect our container until the weekend of 12/21. The container that was delivered was NOT AT ALL what ****** and the companies brochures represent their cargo worthy containers to be. There is a large 6' dent down the side that impairs the storage volume inside. There are two rusting holes in the roof in the back corner, and both door, tops and bottoms are rusting/rusted through. I contacted ******, who referred me to **** *****, in warranty. I advised her of the issues. Sent her pictures and she advised me to caulk the doors and send video of the holes leaking. Otherwise, this was a typical cargo worthy container. I told her this was not minor dents and dings or rust. She suggested I have it inspected for sea worthiness within the time frame to verify it is cargo worthy or maybe spent more

    *******,
We are more then happy to help you out if you continue down our Claims and and Warranty route as you have already been instructed to do. On our website and all documents it clearly says the only difference WWT and Cargo Worthy containers is Cargo worthy are guaranteed to pass inspection to be used for ocean or rail shipping that they will have rust, dents, and repairs just like the container you received is.   We do not sell cosmetic appearance for our used containers we sell function. We always recommend buying 1trip containers or have your Used container painted if you are concerned on appearance of a container as a fresh coating of paint on a used container actually does a lot. Looking at he photos you have attached this container doesn't seem to be out of the norm for Industry used CW container. We are more then happy to assist you further.

Before I purchased this container, I went over all of the details with ****** ****. I told him what I expected from the unit I was purchasing, he assured me that the ** containers were nicer than the WWT,  thus why they cost more. The companies own ********* says minor dents and minimal rust. See attachment. I told ****** that if the container was not what he assured me I would receive, that I would refuse the container. I told the same thing to their dispatch person. Both conversations were recorded. I imagine that is why my unit was delivered after dark. Both doors are rusted through at the bottom and the right door at the top as well. See attachment. As well as the rusted holes in the roof. When I called ****** to let him know the condition of the container he apologized profusely saying that was not the way Container One did business and advised me to contact the warranty **** who advised me to caulk the doors and send a video of the roof leaking. This is not a warranty issue. This is a subpar unit being sold and a customer being told too bad, you should have bought a better unit. Not one person buying a ** container for their personal use cares about whether they can ship things across the sea in their ** container. They pay the extra because they belive they are getting a nicer unit. Period. I have spoken to ****** and he would confirm our conversations. I have his personal phone and email. Please advise if you would like that info.

On July 22, 2024, I purchased Container One to purchase a 40' high-top wind and water tight container via rent to own option. I was told the I would have the container delivered within 15 days. It was delivered on August 22, 2024. One month later. Upon delivery, I had to meet the driver, ****, at the end of the road to bring him back to my house. He rolled his window down and started telling me the door was hard to close but he would show me how to do it and fix anything that needed to be fixed. He then followed me back and unloaded the container. The ground he unloaded on was perfectly level. It had been laser leveled just a couple of weeks prior. I took a video of him beating on the door with a hammer for 4 minutes trying to get it closed. I signed the delivery sheet, and notated the issue with the door. The total cost for this container will be over $10,000 when I am finished paying for it. I did not think it was fair to be delivered something that costs that much, and the man tells me I can get a grinder and cut something off. Fast forward, he came back out to help fix it 4 or 5 *****. It's impossible to fix. I have been in contact with both companies the entire time. Today, Container One called and absolutely lied to me. He said he was told I couldn't get the container level, and I wanted to cancel my contract. I told him that wasn't true. He then said my *** contract had been canceled. Also a lie. I called the *** company to verify after. He then said that they would give me $1000 off if I paid them $3500 in cash today because my *** contract is in repossession. Again, it is not. My contract is on hold waiting on Container One to figure out a fair solution to this issue. I also want to add that the driver asked me to tell them he did get it fixed when they called. Absolutely not. I'm not paying $10,000 for something that has been broke since it arrived. The doors have never shut. All of my belongings are getting wet. Mice are getting in. Just make it right.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/12/2024

The issue with the unit is that the door is sprung due to it being on uneven ground and customer unwillingness to lift a corner up to level out the doors. I have attached and also sent customer the attached picture as proof it was uneven at time of delivery. You can see a hump of dirt right in the center of frame and both corners not contacting the ground so in no way was it level. Sure weeks later in ***** soil they settled into he ground so you cant see a gap as bad but the initial tweak still needed adjusted.

Another issue is driver has been trying to come out a 3rd time with his trailer to pick the container up front side and customers lack of response until yesterday has caused delays. Driver had messaged customer over 2 weeks ago to call him which was never done. 2nd time driver came out he only showed up with ground jacks that couldn't lift the loaded container so he had to make arrangements to come back out a 3rd time when customer is on site to unload an item that may fall over when he picks up the front of the container to shim a corner to properly align the doors. We generally don't do this but driver was trying to be helpful to resolve an issue as it is 400 miles round trip.

Since Customer did rent to own through a 3rd party and hadn't made any payments on the container and wasn't willing to swap the unit and driver hadn't been back out to level it due to lack of communication with driver, the rent to own company advised us that best route would be to pick the unit up. Upon calling customer to give options we offered a hefty discount at face value and driver would still come out and assist (which was denied). Other option was us coming to pick it up the container was also denied by customer. After this conversation Contact was made with **** to own company where they offered a discount which was denied by customer. We cant do much untill paymets ar figured out as no one has been paid.

Purchase a 40 foot shipping container from Containerone.net on 07/22/2024 Opted for the wind and water tight unit for a price of $2933 These containers can not be looked at before purchase so you have to trust the company to send what is ordered. 08/01/2024 the container was delivered, with another one on the truck, making it impossible to inspect it until it was off loaded. Upon inspection it was clear that it had been leaking during the drive. The door seals had spray foam all around them and it still leaked. There is a small hole in the side that leaks as well. I tried to deny delivery, but was refused the option and told I had to fill out a warranty form for their 1 year no leak guarantee. This was leaking before delivery. I jumped through all their hoops, sending photos, making a video from inside the unit with doors shut and water being sprayed onto it, places chalk lines around where leaks were, and still they do not honor their warranty. This seems like a bait and switch, as they claim the unit will arrive wind and water tight, but it did not. The falsely claim a 1 yr no leak guarantee, when the only resolution they offer is for me to fix it myself with some kit they will send out for the door seals and the hole, but nothing for the bolts leaking. After spending nearly $3000 I should not be hiring someone to fix the unit immediately upon delivery. This is not something you can easily fix, it is not returnable, and the company does not stand by any of their claims. They should not be allowed to sell one product and give you another. I never would have spent the extra cost to get a container from them, when there are less expensive options, but I thought the guarantee was worth the extra money. Unfortunately, I am stuck with this container on my property that is useless to me if it isn't dry inside. The company does not honor their word, no one will speak on the phone, and at most they will send 1 email a day, so it is a lengthy, useless process.

We have received your claim and are still waiting on you for more info on the door seals to address this claim correctly. You show them leaking with what seems to be hose angled not simulating a natural environment but regardless the water is traveling down the door seal as designed and draining off the angled door pan not coming into your unit where anything would be stored. As for the pin holes this has been addressed via our warranty and we will continue to honor it. Looking forward to resolving this once you get the claims department what is needed to continue your claim and address any issues.

I have sent them everything asked for and every time I complete their task they ask for something more. The door seals are no good and the bolt holes are leaking as well, which never get addressed. There are gaps where you can clearly see light coming in and in video and pictures has been shown with leaking all around doors and through the holes and bolts. Also, the warranty is to be water tight, so saying water is only inside the doors, which isn’t accurate, means it isn’t water tight and it was delivered to me this way, which is not what I ordered.  Warranty is useless and customers are not repairmen and should not told to fix it themselves.

I called and spoke with a salesman about purchasing a shipping container on 7/25. He verbally assured me that it would be delivered in 7-10 days. He sent the email invoice on 7/25, I paid it on 7/26. I was contacted by phone on Monday 7/29 and informed that my container would not be here for 14 BUSINESS days. I informed the dispatcher about my conversation with the salesman, so she had him call me. He called me a liar and hung up on me after I requested a refund since 3 weeks out was NOT what he had promised me. I received a partial refund today, 8/1/24, that was $350 less than I had paid. I emailed and asked for a full refund and was informed that delivery dates are "estimates only" and that they would not refund me the full amount, even though I was verbally assured it would be here sooner. This is a classic bait and switch and is shady and dishonest. A verbal contract is a contract and should either be honored or I should be given a full refund.

You bought a 40HCCW from us out of the ********* location which has been at a 5 to 15 days delivery window from date of purchase, which this is the timeframe you where told in the welcome call.  You then  decided to cancel your order within 2 business days of placing it with us. In our terms and conditions you agreed to we have a cancelation fee of $350 for this process. Looks like we had everything ready and our logistics department would've been reaching out to to start setting up a delivery possibly even before your shorter timeframe. If you wish to order again with us we can credit you back the cancelation fee and continue on with your order.

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of my decision appear below.

Their response was not true. Their logistics office did in fact reach out to me and told me to expect delivery in 14 business days, which was the reason I canceled the order. Also, I was never given nor did I ever agree to the terms they are referring to that included a $350 cancellation fee. The timeframe I was given by their sales manager was 7-10 days, never was it even mentioned that the delivery date could be 15 days out. Their response is completely fabricated and is not what actually happened. I canceled the order only after they informed me that the delivery window I was promised of 7-10 days was not going to be met.

The shipping containers are advertised as used in good working condition however as seen in the photos the door rods are severely bent and the door can not be closed without severe force which requires additional tools or an extremely well built husky strong person which I am not as I'm 50 yrs old and not a body builder even though I can still carry a full 4x8 sheet of plywood so I'm not a wimp by all means, I purchased 2 of them and one works great as it should no issues the other one which is in the position of being my main entry is impossible for me to open and close daily. I filed a complaint and they simply stated since the driver (who is husky and well built) can close it with force that it is not covered as a warranty issue. I either need the doors fixed or a replacement container as this one is not in operating order as I can't open and close it under my own power. the photos clearly show that the door rods were hit and bent and should be fixed before delivery of such a unit to any customer.

You received a Used container not a New 1trip so they will have more industry use wear and tear  from normal international and international shipping.  Our driver was able to open close these door several times before they where delivered to you and at delivery. Also when delivering your second container a driver even showed you they work under his own power not using tools so the doors actually do work properly. If you would like to possibly upgrade or have units swapped this is an option that will be a charge. If you would like to do this just reach out to your salesperson and we can get you squared away.

You stated the driver could open and close the door in your reply, the first and second driver were both young husky guys and the first driver never closed the door fully that I recall and he did state that the door needs repair to work properly, I'm 50 years old and I'm not husky but I'm not a wimp either and I'm saying I can't physically close the door once open unless massive additional force is used which the listing I purchased said that the container is in good working condition and this container the doors are not.  I own and operate my business and this is not how you treat a customer that has a faulty item. Its up to you on how you want to proceed from here going forward but this container is unacceptable as in working order as I can't close the doors and I want to use it daily.

Purchased 2-40hcwwt to be delivered - day of delivery driver got stuck and pulled container across driveway . He said he would not deliver other container - I tried to call sales - - ***** would not call me back n directed me to logistics via text - ******* from logistics text me and demanded me to resolve the issue of the delivery driver being stuck . I had no one in logistics or sales give me any information on what will occur on delivery of the other container .I called container one general number ask to speak with general manager and he was not available but the owner was available so I rcvd his number. The owner was accommodating and respectful at first - he said that the driver would not deliver the other container - I told him I wanted it on my grass on front of property and he can assess the ground to ensure he doesnt get stuck . Container one ***** the owner said that the delivery driver was an independent contractor and my contract was with truck driver even though I didnt hire him container one did. The driver came out to deliver the other container I told him to put it on the grass by the other container - I was on a business call. And looked out my rear view mirror and the truck driver was taking pictures of container he asked me to sign delivery slip I refused because he put container in the street - I told him thats not where I said to put it I said grassy part on my property . He ran to his truck and put the truck in reverse and burned his tires As he drive backward down the street to main road . Yes driver did get stuck on the first delivery at your transgression of as where you wanted them to try to deliver, it was to wet and soft. but tried anyways and got stuck for 9 hours while you left him on the property alone to go to party and could not be reached by anyone at our company or drivers. Our terms say' During the delivery process, the customer is able to request a specific location to drop the container. If a delivery truck gets stuck during the delivery of customers **********************/order, the customer is fully responsible for getting the delivery truck out or towed."  and we didn't charge you the fees to get him unstuck on the first delivery so that was a plus for you.

Deliver of the 2nd container customer said we could drop it in front of the other unit which put the container in the road a little. When driver got there she asked him to try again to put where she wanted and driver told her no he would get stuck again and we already arranged where he could put it. She also upset that he will not move an R.V for her which i snot what we are their to do we deliver containers. Customer refused to sign the inspection sheet and was yelling at driver that she has no way to move the containers. She told us she was going to get a crane to place the units after delivery.

It is unfortunate you set up deliveries with soft ground on site that wasn't suited for truck and trailers to traverse. We are happy you have your containers and moved where they need to be.
