I decided to install a whole house RO system for a private well a couple of years ago. I found The WaterGuy RO Company, who is owned by "****", who by the way doesn't seem to have a physical address anywhere that I could find. When I was looking at his systems, he claims he has built for over 30 years, I sent him my water labs. He told me that it would work for my private well. We set up the Whole house RO system from him in 2022/2023. He was all smiles and polite prior to paying $5k for this system. After that, he was rude. **** was fully aware that I was offgrid and on solar and had a septic system. **** never once mentioned that you cannot use RO with a septic system. It has to have its own drain pond. Learned the hard way after flooding my septic and almost ruining it. But that isn't the worst part of this transaction. My water was high iron and manganese and high TDS and hard water. In spite of **** having this information, he still sold me the system. Even with prefilters to help with the solids, ****'s system could not handle the Iron/Manganese levels. What occurred was the main filter to the RO failed every 60-90 days = costly. Other issue was the pump required to transport the water to my house drained my solar batteries and we couldn't use the water when the sun went down. I contacted another water filtration company and shared my labs and they told me that if I didn't put a Iron/Manganese system in place, that I would ruin the RO system. Keep in mind that **** had my labs upfront but never once indicated this would cause a failure in the RO system. My son who installed his system tried to talk to ****, but he was rude and unprofessional. My son, who did my whole house plumbing told me that I got ripped off. I had this RO system in place for a full year and I just pulled it out. Replaced with a SpringWell for I/M and softener and our water issues are finally resolved. Next time I will only do business with companies with real addresses. I feel scammed.
