I entered conversation with Aaron S****** of Schmidt's Seasonal Services to pour a concrete block in my backyard and relocate some bushes from that area to surround my air conditioning units. He provided me with an estimate of cost on June 24th over text. That afternoon, I agreed to the cost and for him and his contractor to perform the job. That Saturday, June 25th, I Venmo'd him $2,400 of the job cost to cover half of the labor cost plus the amount for the concrete ($2,200). The goal Aaron stated was to have the job done in a week, maybe a week in a half so that it would be done before the July 4th holiday. Aaron and his crew ended up coming and removing the bushes with a chainsaw and did not relocate them like originally discussed. The area was framed out. Between then and July 1st, half of the gravel was laid out in the area. The remaining gravel was laid that day. I heard from Aaron on July 6th that he was trying to get the concrete set up, but was dealing with rainy weather. After that, have not heard or been able to get into contact with Aaron on my project after multiple texts and phone calls. As of now, his phone immediately says that it is unable to accept calls. Aaron's wife reached out to me through text on July 13th to let me know Aaron came down with pneumonia the week prior. She let me know he was finally doing better, and would be in the hospital for a few more days but would be getting guys to finish my job ASAP. I have not heard anything further from her or Aaron after this day despite multiple attempts at phone calls, texts, and emailing the company website directly. I would like to receive my money back so I can find a more reputable business to complete my job or for Aaron to finish the job immediately.
