On 01/01/20, we bought a camper from Jason Hatfield Automotive, LLC located at 50 Troutman Road, Delaware, Ohio 43074. Our salesperson was Dave W. The finance person was Barb H. The total purchase price included $2,200 for a seven year extended service contract through a company named, “Repair Care”. The phone number on the contract for administration and claims was (855) 807-2885. On October 11, 2022, we sold the camper. The warranty contract said to go to the original selling dealer to fill out paper work for a refund if we no longer owned the camper. The contract then said that if this was not possible, to call the administration number for a refund of the remaining contract period. On October 12, 2022, I returned to 50 Troutman Road, Delaware, Ohio 43015 and found that Jason Hatfield Automotive, LLC, aka Jason Hatfield RV, aka Hatfield RV, no longer operated out of that location. The subjects occupying the space said that Jason Hatfield had opened a campground in Baltimore, Ohio called Rippling Stream Campground under Hatfield’s mother’s name. On October 12, 2022, I called the administration number on the contract to request a refund for the remaining portion of the warranty. The operator transferred me to a company called IA American Warranty Group. When I gave the operator there the contract number, ********, I was informed there was no contract number in their system under that number, nor was there any contract information under our names. On the same date, I called Rippling Stream Campground and to my surprise Dave W answered the phone. W and he admitted he never turned in my contract application and payment to the extended contract company. W also admitted that ours was not the only contract not turned in. I told W that I wanted a refund for the $2,200 and he said he would have Barb call me. I later spoke to Barb. She also admitted to this and promised to pay me back by 11/08/22. This never happened.
