    Our church hired *** ******************** of Lucas Security to relace worn out broken locks on our entrance doors the end of May2024. When first meeting with ***, he suggested that it would be a good idea to replace the door closer along with locks. He gave us a bid of $1200, then came back later and said it would cost $1350 due to more expensive parts. We chose to wait on replacing door closer. After taking multiple days to install, we found our new locks to be ill-fitting and the push bar loose and wobbly, in fact the bar fell off several times. We called *** back as it was obvious this did not fit our door. Each time he made minor adjustments, said it works now and left. Once we called him back 20 minutes later, as the key would not fit the lock. *** blamed the problem on the door closer. We knew it was more. We reminded him he stated "100% satisfaction guaranteed", but since we had already paid him, he was done with us. In August we contacted a reputable door and lock company to install a door closer. While there, we asked the man's opinion regarding the "new lock". The man used the words "inappropriate mechanism for this heavy door", "gerryrigged", "poor quality", and "unsafe", as *** had left a sharp edged striker plate extended outward 3-4 inches. Though our church has limited finances, we had no choice but to safely secure our doors. We paid $1280 for an entirely new lock system and entry system with double the hardware and labor. This was newly installed in four hours. We have asked Mr. ******************** to do the right thing and refund us money to no avail. At best *** ******************** is a good salesman, at worst he knows nothing about installing locks.
