On 27 September, a storm named ****** came through ******* with hurricane force winds. This storm cause deaths and personal injuries, massive property loss and damage, and outage of major utilities and services through the city. There was a lot of damage caused by falling tree. With this type of problem, you will get people that are wanted to make money any way they can. My issues is with the Falls Tree Experts. They were in my neighborhood looking for work. They were talking with neighbor about cutting down his tree and he quoted my neighbor a price of 2.000.00 to cut down and clear his yard of the trees. I was with my neighbor at that time, and I ask if he could give me a quote for my trees. He gave me a quote of 3,000.00 to cut down the tree on my property. He informs us that we could pay cash for job and then go through our insurance company for reimbursement. I told him that I don't work like that because I must get with my insurance company first with that quote before making any' decision to signing or agreeing with his contracts and he agreed with that I was not given any paperwork for the quote that I could send to my insurance company. The next day I called my insurance company and inform them of the issues with the trees. They ask me if the tree's damaged my house. I told them that they only damaged the fence in the back yard. They informed me that if the tree did not create damage to my house that they will not do a claim. After talking with my insurance company, I left my job to inform them that I could not do the contract because my insurance
company would not pay for the tree's. When I got home to see if the tree company was still in the neighborhood so that I could inform them that I would not be able to do this contract with them for the trees. They had already cut down the trees without even checking with me to see if my insurance company okayed that request. The 8th of October I got a letter in the mail telling me that I own them 5,350.00 for tree and debris removal. How are they charging me for tree removal that I did not agree to or sign a contract for?Business Response

after a Hurricane in Georgia, e were hired by a restoration to perform services for several large apartment complexes. While we were ther we were called by a few local residents to see if we could help them as well. While working for a neighbor and wrapping up, Mr ********** had us give him an estimate for the trees on the fence in his back yard which was full of many large trees. We gave him a price to remove the trees and said we could give him a substantial discount if he paid us an even $3,000 upon completion and he could submit his claim to the insurance for a reimbursement. after about 5 minutes he agreed and while he was there we opened the gates to the yard and began clearing out the area.
We also worked for another neighbor nearby after that and when we were completed we came to collect from him. His wife was home and we gave her the insurance write up and said to have him call us.
He never called us. He never called us back after we called him. he never responded for months. after we turned his account over to collections he reached out to the office and had discussions with the manager. She asked for payment but never received any. After we turned his account over to collections is when he first returned a call and now has filed a BBB claim against us.
I reached out to him and am trying to resolve this issue with him. He now claims he never said to do the work, however I was there myself and over saw the jb and he said to go ahead and watched us do the work and the family was there the whole time as well.
He has given me his insurance information to see if I can get him some help with this claim I am currently waiting for a call back from his adjuster now . We want to be reasonable and clear this up.

**** is trying to get out of paying his bill. As I have discussed with **** multiple times, the 2 days that he states we went back to pick up cash and finish the tree work is false. ****** tree work was completed on 11-21-24 therefore, we had no reason to go back. Also, the 2 days he stated we went back were not true simply because we were closed one of the days for a snow day and the following day, we only had 2 guys in the office and they were not even close to Cuyahoga Falls. I have yet to receive a paid invoice from him. This is a lie and slander; therefore, Legal proceedings have now started.Initial Complaint

I used this tree service in 2019 to remove this huge tree. When they came out to give me a quote they mentioned they can’t do anything without a crane first. They arrived to my house first day while the wife and I was at the hospital, my wife was in labor. I get a call from one of the workers saying a branch fell and damaged the house. I rush back home and to check it out and our house that we just purchased in 2018 has some structural damage due to them cutting the branches and letting them just fall down. They did not have a crane at this moment. I start to look around the house and also see that they let the branches fall right onto my driveway. The city had the previous owner redo the driveway so this driveway literally is a year old when Falls tree experts came by. Huge cracks all thru my driveway. The supervisor, ******, told me he would take care of all the damages. A few months went by and he was able to get someone to fix the house damage and reassured that they will do the driveway but it’s about September now and mentioned it’s hard to find someone to do concrete at the moment. I’ve been patient and mature about the whole situation so I understood that. It’s 2020 and I’ve called them back in March trying to get things going before the weather breaks but he told me his concrete guy is backed up weeks due to covid. I was respectful and understood that as well. I would call once a month to see if I’m moved up the list and nothing ever changed. I’ve been getting the run around all of 2021 and this year I’ve called every week since February and they keep telling me they’ll let the owner know and that’s he’s very busy. I’m just asking for some communication but nothing changes. I called today, 6/6/2022 as soon as they opened and the lady said I’m shocked he hasn’t called you back and that he is very busy right now and I’ll have him call you. I have plenty of pictures. I just want my driveway fixed like how it was before they damaged it.Business Response

In our contract, it is stated that we are NOT responsible for driveways and sidewalks. It was a massive tree and there was some damage. We will however offer them $3,000 dollars to offset the cost of repairs. We feel this is a fair compromise.Customer Answer
