    I called to cancel my garbage service around November 5, 2024. My house was auctioned November 4,2024 and sold. They canceled my service but say they cannot refund any credit until the actual garbage can is picked up. They instructed me that I need to keep the garbage tote out in my driveway in plain site for the driver but it is my responsibility to keep it from being stolen or damaged or I will be charged 90.00$. I am closing on my house sale December 4, 2024. I have called Archbold Refuse Service on November 21 and December 3 to see why the garbage tote has not been picked up and they give me the same answer”it is up to the route service supervisor “. It has been a month since I requested they get the tote but it has not been picked up. Legally I will not own the home where it is stored on December 4, 2024. They have had a month to get it picked up. I will not have any control over anything that could happen after December 4 and they are withholding my refund yet will not give me a date of pick up.

    My name is ******** *******, I am the office manager at ***. I apologize for not responding quicker, I have been out of the office sick. I did call and speak with ***** on 12/3 to explain that I had personally turned in her refund to accounting and check would be cut and sent that day. I also explained that we had a work order prepared to pull her cart and would be doing that on 12/4. If we are unable to retrieve the cart she is not liable for any additional charges. I apologized for the mix up on our part for not pulling her cart quicker.  When she cancelled we were in the process of changing our procedures on pulling carts and the work order for her cart to be pulled and been part of a mix up in changing this procedure. Our protocol in pulling carts is 7-10 business days.
