    I really wish Susan J. Lax had not been so incompetent and aggregiously oblivious to the law, that I came days away from having my mother's home, that was T.O.D'd to myself, foreclosed on. Thank Goodness, that in the **** of time, I was able to hire a esteemed experienced lawyer with a heart, **************** who was able to more in 2 weeks, than Susan was able to not accomplish in 9 months. Her decisions went against my self interest. I can prove everything, in triplicate. She takes on so many cases, that she does not return urgent calls, or non urgent calls, she admitted to never opening emails with documents she needed for the case. Often late for appointments. Nine months later after hiring her and paying her in full (don't ever pay in full), a lawsuit was filed in my name. Regarding my deceased mother's equity line that she repeatedly told me not to pay, turns out, I did need to pay it. Secured lines of credit have no time limit on when a lawsuit or lien can be filed, she told me the opposite, as did her colleagues. She stated the 6 mo. law for unsecured debt & because my questions were not being answered properly I believed her. After opposing council filed motions against me personally, not the estate, she did not file a proper affivadit on my behalf or help me in a way that would save my childhood home. After a Summary Judgement was filed, she changed her mind, immediately started gaslighting me, telling me all of sudden, that yes, I had to pay *** ***** decided I wanted to reinstate the loan, when I told her for months I would just pay it off. Because, of her advice, I am now expected to pay double interest, late fees, penalties, and opposing councils lawyer fees. I took matters into my own hands after she did not call me back during a critical time sensitive period, I filed my own appeal and did not fall victim to her suggesting I file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Since, I have met several other clients of hers who share similar stories.
