On or around 7/15/23 the company I work for retained attorney ******* to work on a breach of contract lawsuit. On 12/5/23 Attorney ****** ******* filed a complaint on the behalf of the company and on 12/9/23 he sent us a bill requesting additional monies for work provided. I reached out to Mr. ******* and requested an itemized bill because we had not received a bill from July-Dec and the bill he sent did not show what the additional money was needed for. Nor did it show what was used from our retainer. He responded and said that since I was unhappy with his services he was going to withdraw from my case. We were ok with this and retained another attorney. On 12/15/23 I learned that ******* dismissed our case instead of withdrawing. Dismissing the case means we have to start all over. This was unethical at the least and he is being unethical in his billing as well. He told me he was withdrawing from the case when he intended to dismiss this case all along and all because I wanted to know what the additional money around( 5,500) was used for.
