Game Changer! Had a tree land on my house! Sherriff Goslin Quality and Service was 10 out of 10! It truly gave my family a safe place to live again! **** and **** are professionals at what they do and care about the job being done correctly!

2024 NOV - Requested an estimate for roof replacement, they provided, and spoke with my ins. Am unemployed, thus after review, I cancelled contract. 2nd day they met ins guy, nailed a few paper covers 6-7 pieces, then sent invoice for $2835! ! I sent them $250 check for nailing those on in a few places that had some shingles torn off (I did not ask for that) they won't accept as pay-in-full. NEXT: Jan 2025- Mr. S threatened to put a lien on my home indicating they spent "time" and I am trying to figure out if his statement about being an"ethical" co rings in this situation. I had 3 other co. provide estimates & they're not treating me this way! Logic tells me to wait until I have income before I get in debt for >> $11k - A co. being reasonable & allowing me some empathy/time would have perhaps kept me as a future customer!Sherriff-Goslin Company

Unfortunately, this customer has chosen to leave out several key components of our interaction with her. Upon meeting with this customer on Nov 11, 2024 we obtained a copy of her insurance policy and completed a comprehensive review in order to advocate for her to ensure that she received the benefits due her under her policy of insurance. She had some coverage limiting endorsements that exposed her to some out-of-pocket expense in the repairs of her home. We made multiple trips to the property not only to cover the damages on her roof with temporary protection for the interior but also to review her policy and obligations with her. The process was clearly explained to her and she authorized us in writing to negotiate directly with her insurance company on her behalf in order to assist her with this process. She even signed a contract for the work (bear in mind, she had already received over $2500 from her insurance carrier). We also communicated with her insurance carrier on numerous occasions to put her in the best possible position moving forward to maximize her coverage benefits under the policy. Ultimately, she chose to cancel her contract with us two days after signing it. By that time we had two weeks of man hours in on-site visits, estimate preparation, insurance company contact, coverage research, and material allocation invested in her project. She made no attempt to contact us by phone or in-person to discuss options or alternative available to her she simply sent an email canceling. Once she received our invoice for the time and man hours involved in her project, she chose to send us a token payment of $250 with a note stating it was for payment in full. In subsequent emails, she acknowledged our work and that she owed compensation for such, but didnt agree with the amount being invoiced. Even in her BBB complaint, she states had we allowed her some empathy time that we could have kept her as a future customer. But she never asked for any such time and never communicated her situation to us until AFTER receiving our invoice. Had she reached out proactively and made us aware of her situation, we certainly could have worked out a solution with her that would have assisted her through her difficult time. She chose a more combative posture which led us to where we are now. It is unfortunate that Ms. ****** elected not to reach out to discuss her situation as we are certain a plan to assist her could have been worked out.Review fromGary W

Sherriff-Goslin has done several projects at my house. I got their number from one my employees who is not easily impressed (my company does masonry repairs). His recommendation was very very positive. I used them for a major repair and I'm glad I listened to his recommendation. I found Sherriff-Goslin to be professional, fast and (the most important thing) HONEST. The only roofing company I would used is Sherriff-Goslin. As an added note, Tom who runs the place and is assistant manager, Justin J are incredible two work with.Sherriff-Goslin Company

I went to Sherriff Goslin because my roof is leaking. I met Tom Swan (the owner/manager) and he stated that my house was still under warranty. He said he would call back to set up a time to come fix the roof. A week later, and no one had called me, so I stopped by the office again. I asked when Tom would send someone to fix the roof. He then told me to "SHUT UP" and proceeded to push me outside the office and lock the door. He then told me to fix the roof myself. I bought this house from the previous owner, so I would understand if the warranty didn't transfer, but this is no way to treat another human being, especially a potential customer. The disrespect and rudeness I received from Tom deserves a zero-star review. Also, when I got a new company to fix the roof, they showed me that the roof around the chimney was cut too far, and the chimney cap where the nails were put did not have sufficient silicone sealant to prevent leakage.Sherriff-Goslin Company

The first time Mr ****** stopped into our office, he explained that he had our shingles on his roof and that he had a leak that needed addressing and may require some shingles. He was told that the roof warranty had not been properly transferred by the previous owner but we would still be willing to take a look and make the repair as a courtesy to him. However, he was told we could not commit to a firm date. He was advised that when an opening for providing this free repair to him arose that we would call ahead and do the repair at no charge. There was a bit of a language barrier but he appeared to understand the conditions of our free service when he left. Approximately a week later, he stopped into the office during a very busy morning and was told that we were in the middle of a project and that we remembered him and his situation. Additionally, he was told it would be a few more days before we could make the free repair and we would give him a call. He continued to press the matter and was visibly upset and insisted on a firm date/time for our service. We, again politely advised him that with a small free repair like his we really can't give him an exact time. He continued to press and we reiterated we could not provide it. We kindly asked him to leave the office as we were preparing for a very busy day. Clearly agitated, Mr Nguyen continued to press for a date/time. Finally, after more unsuccessful explaining about the date/time we suggested he was welcome to complete the repair himself. After more arguing we had to show him the door.Review fromscott h

ad premature failure of Art-Lok shingles in one specific area, rest of roof OK. Further investigation reveled NO tar paper exactly in the large area shingles failed. THIS COMPANY'S EMPLOYEES INSTALLED SHINGLES DIRECTLY OVER BARE WOOD. We are considering legal action at this point. 5 starsust perfectly good company. Mike Gauthier came out today for a leak on the house after recent bad weather 2 days ago. Checked everything out, inspected the roof. Did some caulking and gave me a rough idea on when I need to replace it. No charge. This company also did replace my barn roof a couple years ago. 40x64 foot barn. Job was done and wrapped up in 2 days, excellent crew. So they have the job when the house roof needs to be replaced, most definitely. 1 starHorrible Roofing Quality. In 2002 my parents replaced their roof with a Sherriff Goslin roof. I was present as the salesman sold them the Goslin shingles and roof replacement service. My parents have both since passed, and my brother and I are trying to sell the house which is unsellable due to the poor condition of the roof. Right after Goslin replaced our roof in 2002 they had to come back and patch it. That was the 1st red flag. Now, the roof "looks about 40 years old" according to some realtors who are in disbelief when we tell them it's only 21 years old. I phoned Goslin and they sent two inspectors out today who had an excuse or explanation for every problem I mentioned. They started off with the shingles look bad because of the algae from the tree moisture. We have small trees at opposite ends of the house but nothing in front, back or that cause any shade in the middle. Then they explained the shingles back then were "organic" and that's the way it was. Cheap explanation since my memory holds no mention of "organic" during the salesman's pitch in 2002. Then the older inspector said that most roofs don't last longer than 7 years to which I responded, "all the roofs in the nearby houses are older than the Goslin roof we have on our house today. IMO he was a BS'er and condescending....I'm a female btw. Anyhow, I asked them to make good on a product that should be standing the test of time, and they offered to give me a quote for a brand new roof. Genius! Guess how much they came up with? Nearly $17,000. Does that sound like good business to you? Yep! I'm gonna run right with that one especially since they didn't give us what we paid for in 2002 and now they think I'm gonna be a repeat sucka! Not a chance and neither is it a snowball's chance in H-E-double toothpicks that I will ever recommend Sherriff Goslin to anyone except maybe my closest enemy!Review fromarthur s

5 starsSheriff Goslin gets a 5 star rating from us. We had a leaking problem around a dormer that needed to be fixed by someone that knows what he's doing. The roof technician did an outstanding job explaining what needed to be done in understandable language. He was honest, caring and worked hard. 5 stars no question. Are residential roof is quite big. These guys tore off one layer & replace the whole roof in two days. Working sun up to sun down, doing an extraordinary job. 5 starsI feel certain that NO other roofing contractor would have saved me over $32,000.00. Twice Allstate said they would not pay for a new roof, only a small repair. Mr. ********************* and Mr. ***************************** fought a fierce battle. They even helped me file a complaint with the **** ********** of ********* to get Allstate's attention. They gifted me with an enormous amount of their time. If I had a lawyer do it it would have cost me several thousand dollars. Bottom line in choosing a contractor make sure it will fight for you on storm damage claims. I must mention that they did a fabulous job installing a new roof on one that was very steep and difficult. I wish I could give ***************************** 10 stars!
