I contacted the subject company in April 2024 regarding upholstering my 6 dining room chairs. On April 20, 2024, I met with Mr. Cline's wife at their shop and picked out a fabric to use on the chairs. They asked for a deposit and I gave them a $900.00 deposit on my **** credit card. I received a receipt that was marked that the deposit was non-refundable. However at the bottom of the receipt, it states that a deposit is required at the time of service. I did not sign a contract or the receipt. I was told that they would begin the job in July. When I did not hear anything from them in the first part of July, I tried to contact them by phone and received a recording from the phone company that the phone had been suspended and to try to contact them later. I tried to contact them frequently after that. I went to their shop only to find their sign in a large window and a shade covering the door. I called them on August 12th only to find that the phone had been disconnected. I again drove to the shop, but found the place was empty with all shades pulled down. I want my $900.00 deposit refunded.

Original transaction date was August 3, 2023 when I paid $700 up front for a job to recover my sofa. I was told at that time that it would be January or February that they would get to me. I was told then to come in in a few months to select fabric, which I did on October 11th at which time I was required to pay an additional $342.30 for the fabric. Again I was told February would be the date they would start. February came and went and I called to find out they were running about 4 weeks behind. Then March came and went and I was then told there was illnesses and they were still running maybe behind again. Finally they came and got the sofa on April 15th and I was told it would be approx 10 days to finish job. It is now June 4th. I have contacted them weekly or every 10 days and they cannot give me any estimated time when I will have the sofa back. They simply say they will "try" to get to it soon and they will call when it's finished. The last time I called on May 23rd I was told they had a big commercial job come in that they have to finish before they get to me. Again, no idea when that will be, or even if another commercial job comes in if I'll be moved back more? I want the job finished and delivered, and I want the remaining $300+ i still owe for the finished job to be compensated. I don't think that's too much to ask for the amount of time I have waited.
