    Summers inspected my air-conditioning system on 5/14/2024 and said the system is good. I attempted to use the air-conditioner the following week and it did not work. I called Summers and requested they check the system, they sent someone and checked the unit and said there was no coolant but they could fix the unit for approximately $950. I informed them they had recently valiated the system was good, the only way a leak could have happened is if Summers had damaged the system when they came to check it. I would like for them to fix it or at least give me a significant discount. The person said they did not the authority to make that decision and I should call Summers to request. I called Summers and explained, the person on the phone said they could not make that call and said a Manager would call me. I waited a week and received no call. I called back and was told I would be called by a manager by Monday, 6/17. It is Tuesday, 6/18 and I did not receive a call. I would like Summers to fix the unit they broke, I would like Summers to NOT lie to me about a call back. It appears to me that Summers broke my air-conditioner so they can charge me for fixing it. Very poor business tactic. Customers beware.

We apologize again that we did not get back to you in a timely manner. We value you as a customer and we hope that you will consider us again in the future when you have need.

     I am rejecting this response because:

    I contacted a separate company to fix my air-conditioner.  I believed I would not hear from Summers so I did not feel I had a choice.  In addition, I was not contacted until I submitted a complaint to the BBB.  Summers did contact me (weeks after I complained to them) and explained they were going through an organizational change which delayed their response.  It is reasonable but I will not be comfortable doing business with Summers in the future.  I understand that it is not reasonable to expect them to pay for work that was done by another company. I believe this complaint should be closed as it stands.  I do not want to click on the 'Customer Satisfied' button because I am not satisfied.  But it could have been a one time error that will not happen again.
