I started a membership at this gym in 2022 with my wife as an add on. The term was a 1 year contract, unless we moved states (as stated in contract, see atatchment). We moved from ******* to ******** and so I called on mar 15 to cancel our memberships (see attachment for call logs). We were told it was cancelled but Neither my membership, or my wife's add on status, were cancelled and I was billed twice. I called back on may 15 to cancel again. I was told the only way to cancel was in person (contract states you can over the phone if you moved states). They gave me a link to cancel online at ************* and I followed it all. The website didn't function as instructed so I called and they redirected me to higher ups in the company. They eventually pointed me towards the owners of the website and the owners said that I wouldn't be able to use the website to cancel unless a full year had elapsed (which I got confirmation on that the owner knew this, but was leading me on). I call to get ahold of the gym again and they finally agree to cancel. I give them my information on the phone and follow up via email (see attachments 1-7). Then on October 9th I find out I have still been charged for my wife's account every month. I email the owner directly and he says that her account, as an add on the my account, is still active even though it was supposed to be cancelled and even though the account holder (me) had cancelled twice already. He finally agrees to cancel if I send in her ID with the new address as proof. (See attached emails 1-4) Fast forward to November and she is charged AGAIN. I call them back and they refuse to cancel her account over the phone. I call their corporate office and they say only the owner of that individual club can cancel it. I have been trying to get a resolution from him since October 9th but have not been able to as he stopped responding. I just want to be able to get this membership cancelled and get the money back they took.
