Spent almost $300 and 3/4 of the stuff was dead when I received it. There were 2 of my items I NEVER even received. Mailed back the labels and sent a list of what was dead exactly like they requested in their JOKE of a "guarantee". NO RESPONSE! DO NOT ORDER FROM BURGESS!!!Gardens Alive

Thank you for your feedback. Gardens Alive purchased ******* Seed and Nursery in January, 2022. Unfortunately, we did not receive any payments for orders placed in 2021. If you can provide the order number and order date, I would be able to issue a goodwill credit that could be used on a future order.Gardens Alive

********************, I attempted to locate your order placed with ******* in 2021 but was unsuccessful. I did locate an order that was placed with Dutch Gardens on 05/20/2020. If you can provide additional information (order number, account number), I will be happy to issue a goodwill credit that you can use on a future order.Sydney

Update: ******* sent my 2 items out of my order that I did not receive previously. One dead as a doornail Butterfly **** and Oxalis BULBS instead of the potted plant it was supposed to be, and they NEVER issued me a "goodwill credit" like they promised to do for all of my other dead items. Their word is USELESS! DO NOT BUY FROM *******!!!!!! Do yourself a favor and toss their catalogs in the trash where they belong. How stupid to not understand you can get a lot more of a customer's money if you actually stand behind what you sell. THAT WAY THEY COME BACK TO BUY YEAR AFTER YEAR!!!! *******, take me OFF your mailing list!!!!!!!!!!Review fromDaniel P

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. I made a $100 purchase in 2021 for flowers, which never arrived. I pursued the company for a refund, and was told that since they were being sold to another company, my refund could not be processed and could only be refunded by the new owners. The new owners refuse to return my money. I filed a complaint with Tyra Lee at the Indiana Attorney General office, which was an absolute waste of time. The company will not refund my money, even though I have receipts, correspondence, and proof of the theft. Gardens Alive is the scum of the earth. Take your business elsewhere. Do not give these bottom feeders one red cent.Gardens Alive

They lie about inventory levels and availability for shipping. Placed an order on 4/13 (which was a replacement order for items that shipped so late the last time they died), was promised over the phone that everything but two backordered items were in stock and would ship within 2 weeks. It's 6/14 and exactly 2 out of 24 items has shipped. This is after multiple calls with customer service putting items on 'rush', but now it's over 100 degrees each day and anything they ship will die in transit or as soon as it's outside in this heat. For 6 weeks now, everything in my order has shown as 'available for shipping', and going out in 2-3 days, but every week, that date updates to the following week. They refuse to refund my money, and balked at a merchandise credit and cancelling this order - telling me to just get the plants, let them die and then get another credit. I've spent THOUSANDS across various Gardens Alive nurseries, but their botched buyout of *************** will end my relationship with all their brands. Rather than do the right thing, they're holding my money hostage, raising prices and eating away at the value of that credit.Gardens Alive

I think they paid their marketing department a lot of money. I also think the company thrives on obfuscation, delay, and lack of reliability. They also keep the customer at comfortable arm's length when there is an issue. My first (and last) order seemed simple enough. ********** strawberry plugs... live plant. The company pumps the reader/customer full of promises to get a puchase to the customer promptly. In this case it was an order for LIVE LIVING as in needing food, light and water, strawberry plugs. That means they can withstand no more than two days in transit. That was one week ago. Upon completing the order "marketing" queried me: how soon do I expect my order to arrive and I selected the fewest number of days (6-7)The company could not even get the receipt for my order promptly. It arrived almost 48 hours later and dated May 9. I expected the order no later than today because about 3-4 days ago I received notification that my order was on its way! But within three days after that notification I did NOT receive my order. I phoned the company's Customer Support line where I spoke with a rep who slurred her words, left long pauses in her sentences and seemed ill informed. She had a hard time even locating my order. Then upon checking said the order had not been sent. I blew my stack. The company had announced that the order had been sent. I asked just when was my order to be sen, but she did not seem to know. I asked to speak with her supervisor and after a long "hold" she reported that the supervisor was not available but that I could leave my number. End of conversation.I filed a grievance. The company acknowledged receipt and promised prompt contact. Two days later I filed another grievance and got the same reply.......someone would get right to me.Next I got an e mail announcing that my order would be sent on May 17. That in direct cont to the earlier communication that my order was "on the way. I envision dead strawberriesGardens Alive

1 starConfirmed ship date for Japanese Iris March 21, got notice out of stock May 9! Too late to order from others. They shipped bulbs that I didn't order and sent a very confusing invoice on May 8 which their call center in ***** had trouble explaining. I just want my money back. This is the second time my orders from Dutch Gardens have been cancelled or shipped incorrectly. Don't trust them. Go elsewhere....Review fromLeslie B

1 starI never write reviews and I wish I had read the reviews on BBB about *******. I am very unhappy with this company. They did not send my plants to me when they said they would. One month later and I still do not have them. They have some flimsy excuse why I can't get my money back. I will never use them again!Review fromDana Michelle H

1 starIf I had read the reviews first i would never have fallen for buying from these scam artists. They shipped me dead dried out roots 3 months after I ordered from them.Customer service is a joke.I had to write a formal complaint and include the original shipping label. They wrote me back after 2 months and said that replacement product would be sent in the spring of the following year. What they sent was 3 vouchers totaling $35.00.Tried to redeem them and nothing is available..They burned me for $225.00
