7/29/22 GO Irrigation's new irrigation estimation: $5,600; paid deposit: $2,600.8/24/22 System installed, then he asked to do a deck ($3,000); ****** square feet grass removal/topsoil/grading/sod ($7,975); downspouts ($700); caulk guttering ($1,200); house washing ($1,200); and demolition/new kitchen wall opening ($1,500). I hired him for a deck, grass removal/topsoil/grading/sod, and downspouts. The guttering was replaced by a professional, house washing was completed by a professional, and demolition declined. Between 7/29/22 and 9/15/22, I paid $15,000: $2,600, $3,000, $4,500, $2,400, and $2,500 for a new irrigation system, a new deck, ****** square feet grass removal/topsoil/grading/sod install, and 5 downspouts. I just was promised a 7-zone irrigation system with ongoing maintenance included; removal of grass with a sod cutter, two dump trucks of topsoil, grading with a machine, sod installation; and downspouts 6' or more from the house. What I received was an irrigation system not properly buried, held together in spots with duct tape, the wrong size of hose used, and sprinklers too high or too low, in the wrong location, etc. The deck was not square and sat directly on the ground without 12" ventilation. I live on a slab that is not appropriate for a deck, only pavers or a concrete patio per several landscapers, so the unfinished deck had to be removed. The downspouts were less than 6' in length with corrugated tubing used, so had to be replaced, the yard was never graded, and no topsoil was delivered. I paid for ****** square feet of sod, but only ***** were purchased and delivered. The sod was being installed over the sprinkler heads, sidewalk, curbs, etc. I gave multiple chances to fix things. The yard looked worse and the sprinkler system had two leaks with repairs. I asked for a refund. I was blamed for his shoddy work and he refuses to refund me. I would like a refund, and reimbursement for the deck removal and destroyed supplies I have receipts for.
