We purchased an ** with a Cummins generator. After the first time we used our ** the generator was not operational. We called Cummins to have a warranty repair. Cummins sent to their dealer/repair place. We had to drive over five hours with two vehicles to drop off and go home and then another over five hours with two vehicles to pick up and go home. The repair place had our ** for two weeks. In addition to the time, it cost us with two vehicles $400 in fuel. When we used our vehicle after the repair was done, We found that not only was the generator not fixed completely, but Cummins ************************** also broke our inverter. The inverter was fully operational before we brought the ** in. We had tested it and used it just before bringing it in. Now our inverter is completely non-operational. For the past month, I have made several phone calls to Cummins to have resolution. They are insisting that I go back to the same authorized dealer/service provider. I have tried to explain that this is not a viable solution. I do not trust their service provider at that location. And I have asked them to figure out a solution besides fixing our generator, to assist us in having our inverter repaired without it, costing us money. We have consulted with professionals in the field, and have been advised that we will likely need to replace the inverter. Their professional opinion is that the generator Repair was done without turning off the inverter first. In all of my calls with Cummins, the only solution they have offered is that I go back to the same place and ask them to handle the repairs. I am concerned that if I bring my unit back there, I will have further damage to other equipment in my unit. I expect comments to figure out a way to have the repairs done without me having to spend any more money or time. I further want a guarantee from Cummins That they will be responsible For the damage to our inverter.
