Im giving 1 star because I dont have the option for zero. Full disclosure: Im a Presidents Circle member. I rented a pick up truck from 04/15 to 04/17 at Pittsburgh Int’l Airport. Pick up: vehicle heavily smelling marijuana inside (in a state where the weed is illegal). Their first recommendation: stop by a convenience store and buy a Febreze (what?? Really??) After 20+ min they changed my vehicle. Returning the vehicle: they overcharged me 2 gal of gas. But I returned the vehicle full of gas! 8/8!I contacted their customer service but nothing, no response. Not sure whats happening with Hertz at PIT but its the worst service and experience.

Buyer beware, Ive been renting from Hertz for over 40 years and never once did a prepay. Booked a car for pick up in *************** and needed to adjust arrival time. Called hertz and was charged an additional ***** for making the change and then within an hour was charged the total amount of the rental. This was an UNAUTHORIZED charge. Turned the car in 3 days early and per Hertz am not titled to a refund. Bottom line Ill never rent again from Hertz as their customer service is horrible and certainly not consumer / business friendly. There are too many other choices in the market so buyer beware and dont do a prepay

Reserve the car and paid for it. When I got there, they didn't have any cars available they said and that I had to wait for the car to come from a different facility. After 30 minutes of waiting, they told me that the electric car they were going to give me that the previous renter extended the rental agreement. They told me that the only thing they had was gas vehicles and that it would be an extra $30 per day. The my online invoice shows a compact vehicle not necessarily electric. I argued with them for a few but got nowhere. Ridiculous!!!

I will be suing Hertz! They rob and steal and dont even crack a smile. There is way too many things to say in the 2000 words BBB allows me but they gave me the most disgusting car possible to drive for ***** They take forever for customer service because on top of new drivers wanting a car but there are drivers coming back with issues after issues. One week I had a payment for $406.78. I called Hertz to make the payment because I locked my card accidentally. I meant to lock my cash app card but wasn't paying attention. Anyway she told me my payment was $406.78 I said ok you can charge the card. She said ok. A couple days later my card was charged $407 2 days before my rent was due by Hertz. I immediately went back to **************** to see why. They told me they dont have it my bank does and have them cancel it. I went to my bank...they said Hertz requested this payment and you have to speak with them about cancelling the pending transaction. I go back to Hertz the following day as both locations are 50 mins away and they stated we dont deal with change so if a payment is $406.78 the it would round up to $407. I explained thats not what your *** told me and she charged it already. They again said speak with your bank. I did again and they told me the same. Hertz has it pending and we cant do anything about it. SO when its my day to pay Hertz on my due date I dont pay them because I have to take care of my rent. I ask for an extension as I dont have the money because I had to pay rent. Keep in mind, when they charged my card $407 after charging it $$406.78 they made my account go in the negative $223. I wish I had more to say but im limited to 2000 characters but what I can tell you is DO NOT GO TO HERTZ FOR A RENTAL CAR! GO TO ***** This is the worst organization humanly possible. Theres no way a company should average 4 reviews everyday ON the BBB. This one situation has turned my life upside down as this is my full time job. I wish I could say more but im suing

On April 13th 2025 at 6 PM I returned my ****** Rouge rental vehicle to the *************************************** rental outlet. I dropped off the vehicle to the person in charge of receiving the vehicle. I proceeded through the front area to the airport when I got a phone call from the Hertz front desk advising me that I had returned the vehicle with a cracked windshield. I knew absolutely without a doubt that this was not true. I went back to the person that I dropped the vehicle off with and asked him where the crack was. He proceeded to show me a picture on his phone of a substantial crack at least a foot long on a windshield.I examined the windshield of the vehicle I dropped off and could not see any crack at all. I ask him where the crack was and he said he took the picture from the inside of the vehicle. I proceeded to the inside of the vehicle to look for the crack which I knew was not there. I knew right away that he was trying to scam me. The picture on his phone was not the same windshield as the vehicle I dropped off. I then made him confess on video that there was indeed no crack at all in the windshield. I proceeded to the front desk and told the other worker that there is no crack and that they have picked the wrong person to try this type of thing on. This is outright criminal activity.

Everything seemed to go pretty well with my recent Hertz rental until a week after my rental was over. I received an email from a company called Plate Pass. Thisis a company used by Hertz to pay for tolls that have no toll booths. I was never informed of this. Seems like a good idea... until you see the "convenience fee", a term I find insulting. I was charged $10 for a $1 fee. If I had gone through this toll 10 times during the course of my trip I would have been charged $100. This is simply wrong.

******** customer service. Whoever is running the ******************** branch needs to either be fired or demoted. Obnoxious, rude, sarcastic, and degrading. I love hertz but these people at this branch are disgusting. Based off the reviews on ****** and elsewhere seems like there is a pattern that either corporate is neglecting or this is the kind of behavior Corporate wants representing them. If this is how you treat veterans I hope everyone will come to realize how horrible your staff are and will choose somewhere else to go.

I rented a car from hertz in November of 2024 for June of 2025. I canceled the RSVP Feb of 2025 and have still not received my refund!!!!! Every time I call they tell me the refund hasn’t been processed, but I’m processing it now!!! I have even spoke to a supervisor and still to this day nothing!!! I will walk before I ever rent a car from Hertz again!!! I hope I get my $536 back someday.

WARNING: DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ AT ICT AIRPORT COMPLETE SCAM.This place is a disgrace. A month ago, I rented a car and they fraudulently overcharged me $345 on top of my rental. Then they had the nerve to bill me for two full days when I clearly returned the car after just one day.Ive reached out repeatedly no response, no refund, no accountability. Its like they took my money and vanished. The customer service is nonexistent, and the way this location operates is shady at best, criminal at ********** yourself the frustration, the financial loss, and the blatant disrespect. Run dont walk away from this Hertz location. I made the mistake so you dont have to.
