      After purchasing a property in the stare of Indiana received letter from Local Records Office to pay ****** so they send me a copy of the title so I sent the amount requested with a persoanal check witch was deposited to their account imediately upon arrival , its been 4 months and havent received the copy of the title promised ., left voice messages but the line is always busy , I think is a scam . hope someone can stop them or put them out of bussiness

      I had a similar experience as many others on here with this so called company. They are preying on people sending out something that looks exactly like a bill hoping that you wont know any better and you will pay it. This is disgusting and I believe should be illegal no matter what small fine print is added to it. This is a scam. I will advise people on all platforms possible not to send them any money

      We do not misrepresent our identity either. We are legitimate business entity with the name of Local Records Office, which advises the consumer that we deal with records,specifically Deeds or other Records of Title.

      There is nothing false,misleading or deceptive within which we operate our business. We make it clear to the consumer that our letter is a solicitation and not a bill. The consumer is advised that they are under no obligation to pay for our service unless they accept our offer and request our service.

      In this case, the client did not accept our offer. We will remove him from our mailing list.

      Purchased my home in April of this year after my husband passed. Received a letter 2 months after I moved in. I hadnt received my deed yet after purchasing my home clear of debt, when I received the letter fro Local Records I thought this was legitimate! I sent a payment of $109.50. I received this booklet with info that I could have gotten at my county courthouse! . The next day I went to the courthouse to the offices to let them be aware of this scam and the officials of those offices copied the information of this company! I also took it to the two title companies an both are owned by lawyers! So we need to get the word out on this scamming company and put them out of business! If you know someone that has purchased a home or going to let them know! I want a total refund!

      I am filing this compliant to report a business that is pushing deceptive services designed to exploit the public based on a lack of knowledge. They are attempting to sell public records at an extremely inflated cost and are banking on the recipient of their flyer to not know any better. The "property profile" they will provide is a free document that can be pulled online with the county. The deed to someone's home can be obtained for less than $10. They are offering these "helpful services" for the mere price of $109.50. If you receive one of the company's scam letters in the mail, immediately through it away. And please consider filing a similar complaint against this deceptive "company". This company needs to be restricted from conducting business further as it is an outright scam.

      08/26/2022 we received a letter from them stating it's important and the only way to receive our deed to our home. We just bought our property a couple months ago and closed on july 25th. This is the 3rd fraud letter i received so far not just from them, several others trying to scare you into things..Warning, search the name, address, phone number until you find the bs on them.

      I purchased a house in September. I then got a bill for $94 from Local Records LLC. I called the number on the bill and they said that it was for paperwork about the house I just pitched. So on 12-11-2021 I paid $94 to Local Records LLC in hopes of receiving paperwork. It has been months and I have received nothing so I decided to look them up and seen it has happened to others.
