  I hired KMA to install 2 egress windows in my basement and frame in a new bedroom in my basement The renovation included -Frame room -Cut out window -Supply and install 2 egress windows, caulk and spray foam -Install weeping tile -Install river rock -Install angle iron -Install window wells -Engineer drawings -Permit the renovation was started and his crew was unprofessional they never notified me in advance as to when they would be working. The workmanship is *********** and one window need to be reinstalled as it was crooked. The other window had a large lump in the drywall slot this was not fixed there were numerous problems with the framing. When they cut out for the windows his crew damaged the walls and then he charged me and additional $*** to repair the walls they damaged. His workers that he subcontracted had no clue how to read the engineers report and their work failed the city inspection. I complained on several occasions *** ***** ** *** ******* ******* **** ****** ***** *** *** ** ****** *** *********  ** *** ******* ******* *** ***** ******* ** ******* *** several months went by when no work was done. I was required by my insurance company to have my foundation repaired and I told Kevin and he got mad at me he should have been happy as when the basement work was completed they did half of Kevin job and installed weeping tile and rock to the south window. The north window was never finished either. * **** **** ** ***** **** *** *** ****** ******* ***** *** * * **** ***** ***** *** **** ***** *** *** **** **** *** *** ****** ******* **** *** **** ** ******** ********** *** ********* * *** **** *** *** ******* ******* **** * ***** * ********* ********** *** ********* *** *** *** **** ** ****** *** ***** *** *** **** ******* ** ** ***** On May 8 Kevin called my home phone 5 times not leaving any messages as I was at work till 9pm and he sent *** ******** emails also on May 8 giving me till Friday May 12 to respond ** ** ** ******** ***** ****** *** *** *********** . All I ask is that the window wells are installed to code and the permit closed with a final inspection and I will gladly pay the outstanding balance of $******* ***** *** ** **** **** *** **** **** ******* *** ***** ****** ** ***** ** **** ** **** ** **** * ******* ** *** *** **** ************ *** ****** ** *** ***** *********** * *********** ****** *** **** **** *****

  - we started work on the project as planned

  - she did not tell us that she was doing her foundation at the same time which makes it impossible for us to finish the window wells and river rock that we dropped off and were planning to install

  - we did pull a permit for the egress windows as required with engineered drawings

  - we did not pull a permit for framing 2 interior walls in her basement as that is not required unless its a complete basement development. the only permit she would require for this is the electrical which we are not doing

  - she had a complaint about 1 of the windows which we fixed

  - we have been trying to invoice her for the entire winter to pay the remaining balance which we already talked to her and agreed to discount for not installing the window wells as our part was done other than that which she was holding up due to her foundation repairs. 

  - our quote was planned to dig out the window wells and do the weeping tile and river rock etc all at the same time. clearly we cant do this when the foundation is dug out randomly as the rock would fall into nowhere...

  - she finally contacted me the other day by email to install the window wells and to that i said she needed to pay the last invoice before any more work continues as I do not trust that she will pay after all of this and we had been invoicing her all winter.

  KMA only has to install the wells and as Kevin said himself it’s not a three minute job.
  The basement guys did not have an influence on whether or not KMA could do the work ** *** ** ****** **** **** ******** *** ** **** **** *** ** *** *** *** ******** **** ***** *** ***** **** ***** *** **** *** *** **** *** **** ******** ** **** **** ***** **** *** ***** ******** ****** ***** *** ************* ******* *** ***** **** *** **** *** *********** **** *** *** *** ***** **** *** **** * *** ****** *** ********** ********. I had asked him several times to complete the north side and he just brushed me off as it was finished and the foundation contractor was in the way when they did not need to repair the north side.

  There was a permit for egress windows however there was no permit taken out to frame the new bedroom in basement which fell under new construction. ******* *** ********* *** ** ***** *** ** ****  
  Yes the south window was reinstalled as it was installed crooked by his *********** crew **** *** *** **** **** **** ***** *****
  The north window still needs repairs as they put in to much spray foam
  
  I refused to pay the remaking invoice until the work was completed as one should do when dealing with ************* companies
  
  The wells and rock would have been replace during the foundation repairs the rock would not have fallen into now where
  
  I did contact Kevin as I was tired of waiting for him to contact me to finish the job and all he has done is harass me and called my home 5 times while I was at work I told him  that I would pay as soon as the work was completed and permit closed
  I have paid on time as he requested via e transfer and have been up front  I am afraid if I pay him the work will not be completed and I will be stuck with no wells and the city permit not addressed

  And because the basement foundation company completed the weeping tile and rocks I want a further discount of $*** I have had a pile of rocks on my driveway all winter blocking my access to my garage and they are still there I am sure they will need for the north side to fix their mistakes
  
  I find this to be a situation that could have been prevented had KMA acted in a professional manner and had employees that where ********* ** **** ***** *** **** **** *** *********** ******

  I strongly disagree with everything she is saying. Everything is exactly like I described in the first response and I will not repeat my self. We will go there Saturday to install the window wells now that I am aware that it is possible for us to do it even though we just simply already added a discount for not installing them because of all this which can be seen on any of the estimates she provided in the other email to you. Also the *** cost from her first email which she said was due to damage we caused is not true. It was to add framing to the inside of the foundation walls where missing because of the concrete being cut out in those areas which was not part of the original quote. we will come Saturday to install the window wells. done.

  I am rejecting this response because: I am unavailable on Saturday May 13 and I do not want to have him or his crew here without me present.  Just telling me and not scheduling the work is the way this whole reno has unfolded 

  As I replied to KMA I am available before 3pm during the week.  The work must be completed before 3pm.
