When: Saturday, May 17, 2025
Where: Marshall University Parking Lot - Corner of 3rd Ave and 16th St, Huntington, WV 25702
Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm (or until the shred trucks are full)
The Better Business Bureau will host its 13th annual identity theft protection event in Huntington, WV. Businesses and consumers are asked to bring old credit card statements, IRS tax records, credit card offers, or anything that lists personal information to be commercially shredded onsite.
LIST OF ITEMS ACCEPTED:
Computer Boards - (Brown, Green, Blue, Red, Black, White, & Orange), Computer Towers, Laptops, Incomplete Laptops, Cell Phones, CED Roms, Hard Drives, Cell Phone Batteries, Laptop Batteries, Satellite Dish Boxes, Game Consoles, Lead Acid Batteries*, Flat Screen TV's and CPU Monitors**.
LIST OF ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED:
*Other types of batteries: Must say NO PCB. NO HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES (AA, AAA, D, C, ETC.)
**TVs: NO BOX TELEVISION SETS
MONITORS: NO MONITORS CONTAINING MERCURY (TYPICALLY MANUFACTURED PRE-1991)
*LEAD ACID BATTERIES ARE ACCEPTED*
**FLAT SCREEN TV’S & MONITORS ARE ACCEPTED; LIMIT 2 PER CUSTOMER**

Drop off will be from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at Marshall University parking lot - Corner of 3rd Ave & 16th St., Huntington, WV 25702 (enter off 16th St/Hal Greer Blvd).
There is no charge to drop off your items, however monetary donations to the BBB Charitable & Educational Fund, Inc. are welcome and appreciated so we may continue to provide this event.
KnightHorst will provide the shredding service.
