The Better Business Bureau serving Northeast and Central Louisiana and the Ark-La-Tex is accepting Nominations for the 13th Texarkana Torch Awards 2025. Deadline to enter is May 8, 2025. The Texarkana Torch Awards include the areas of Miller County, Arkansas, Cass, and Bowie County, Texas.
Better Business Bureau has worked hard for over 100 years, promoting a high standard of ethics. We launched the Torch Awards program to recognize businesses intentionally building what we now call "cultures of trust." Today, the BBB supports a collaboration of like-minded experts and organizations dedicated to increasing marketplace trust by providing practical leadership character habits and organizational ethics alignment resources for leaders and educators.
This year's event will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, at Northridge Country Club, Texarkana, Texas. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 AM with a Program and Awards presentation to follow. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Robin Hickerson, President/CEO Texarkana Chamber of Commerce.
We will recognize businesses in the three categories below, so nominate a business you feel meets one of these categories, or your own business.
Nominated Businesses/Non-Profits must be located and/or conduct business in the Texarkana Torch Award service area (Miller, Cass, or Bowie County.) Nominees should present supporting materials for the judging process that show why your company should be considered for a Torch Award. A history of the business MUST be submitted. An independent, voluntary panel of community and business leaders evaluates entries.
- Integrity - Businesses that maintain a solid commitment to business practices and integrity
- Customer Commitment - Businesses that have an outstanding customer service program
- Non-Profit - Not-for-profit organizations
Proceeds from our annual Torch Awards go to student scholarships. We will present a scholarship to a student from Texas A&M University - Texarkana.
Does your company go “above and beyond” in serving your customers, suppliers, employees, and community? Do you fulfill your obligation to the marketplace by doing what is right and fair and running an ethical business that people like to do business with? Then go ahead and nominate your business or another business that you think qualifies for one of this year’s Torch Awards. The judging evaluation will occur on May 15, 2025, so don’t delay submitting your entry form!!!
